True true...it has been the nature of this country since decades.

But, at the end the impact of it will be felt by the juniors and warfighting capacity (if True).
Keep in mind, Iraq had the most impressive AD in the region on paper and it crumbled MUCH faster than expected due to incompetence and nepotism.

If I might add...morale as well.

Can't disagree with the rest. I sure hope this appointment and all future ones benefit the country, but as always, we shall see.

Been talking to and hearing alot of conversations of ex Generals and Brigadiers and others in my vicinity.

C4I networks and strategic integration are the last though on anyone's mind. Stark departure from a few years back. The same faces which were jind jaan zindabad a few years back are now literally crying blood tears over the state of the army and it's punjab pulsification. Whatsapp groups are alight.

At least Asim got his man finally, the whole reason he was waiting so long for the appointment.

Funny thing though, pehle sab elected PM COAS junior aur apni marzi ka lagatay thay so he doesn't screw them later on. Now we have the COAS appointing junior underlings and doing a supersede galore for the same. But tbf, this practice has been going on since a while.

Great for Punjab pulsification, as this guy is not from Punjab. So the only 4 star in the Army is from KP. Your whatsapp groups might need to touch some grass, mate.

That being said - this man is not from Punjab - so perhaps less on alarmist whatsapp groups and more on verifiable multiple sources.

At the end, regardless of the veracity of the reports and the merit for the appointment - it is INEVITABLE that strongmen will start appointing Yes men and start securing their position because they have not come through popular support and to remain they need to build their own power structures.

So in simple words All the Mantra of Meritocracy just remain inside the walls of PMA Kakul for recuits only and after passing out the rest is just Shit-F@uckery. Good then.
