No that's not the point. Point is are they innovative in their respective fields or not.. and unfortunately you will find that mostly are time pass types... As for the drivers... Many of them are educated but are not risk takers and always take the safe bet.

The one's that have grown up there and or moved at an early age are different.. Generally the first generation is very cautious.

It's rebranded Babur-1B ER with tweaks to get it to 1000-1100 KM.

Babur-1B ER was tested 5 years ago. At that time, range quoted was 800-900 KM.

Enhanced version of cruise missile tested successfully

no its not. loot at the picture, the wings are externally mounted whilst other missiles of this nature, zarb, harbah and babur have internally deployed wings. id assume this was to increase fuel tank capacity.

Hats off to guys who still manage to find some info from 180p videos .

F-1 &2's not this F4's which is clearly a low flying CM's, these are for Indian high value targets. For taliban use Armed drones, Fateh 1 rockets, and unguided 500-1000lbs bombs.
The Taliban require the cheaper quad production and it should be done en masse so the idea for any Afghan is - cross a 50km buffer - no matter what gender or otherwise - you are blown up.

Then, when they launch their Ali baba Chinese drone - just drop a few 500lbs here or there.

That is your lowest loss to economy way to sustain that neverending conflict.

This attempt to try and scale Babur is best suited for using multi vector attacks against heavily defended targets in India.

My main concern about the quadcopters is that I've seen plenty of videos when they drop a morter shell from that drone, it hit way of the target due to winds in that area, we need something better that hit some what close to the actual target.

I do agree no need for expensive Fateh rockets or CM's unless we are in a full scale war with Taliban and we are hunting their top leadership, yes in that case we can make a exception. As for creating a 50km buffer zone, you know that its impossible for Pakistan to do because of the people of KPK and their love for Afghans when they would not give water to Pakistani's if they are dying of thirst.

In 2 to 3 yrs these subsonic systems will become total obsolete....we need to divert our resources to super & hypersonic domain in no time .....

That's not true

Everything has its place and subsonic cruise missiles have theirs

Cruise missiles are very accurate
Combined with
Terrain hugging
Waypoints
Etc

They will remain effective

Their is a reason why the U.S, Russia, France, UK etc continue to rely on cruise missiles as a mainstay of their offensive arsenals

No way it costs millions of dollars, we are making engines and it's sensors in pak for this, expensive and hard to get modules like DMSAC and TERCOM have not been utilized for this missile.
Max $200-$300k missile, could be even more cheaper if we are really mass producing it, mind you this will be your long range work horse, we'll be spamming this missile like crazy, our BMs will be cautionary, if the indians fire those than you'll see F5 being used.
$200-300K is literally impossible for a missile like this, if it was this cheap it would be the best missile of its category, the CMs that are in $200-300k range like the Rusty dagger and Anduril barrcuda are that cheap because they are built from the ground up to be cheap and mass produced in the 10s of thousands.

they have massive economy of scale and use lots of COTS components, and small turbojets, but of course the drawback being they carry tiny warheads compared to TLAM/F4 category missiles.

Also just because you are making something in Pak doesn't mean it's automatically going to be dirt cheap, labour is the cheapest part of making a missile, components are the most expensive part, and for components to be cheap you need scale.

Now we haven't heard any news of some new missile making factory in Pakistan that is pumping out missiles in the hundreds so we can assume production is still artisanal perhaps making a handful of missiles per month, so you probably don't have the scale to make components dirt cheap.

Good example for this would be the Kalibr missile, it has both decent scale and it's being made in a country with lower labour costs at least compared to the West, yet those things are still $1mil+, so no F4 is not $200k but probably $800k-1mil.

Seems to have similar IR seeker at the front as Taimoor .
