No, look at the legend. active MBT's are given as 3600. Total with APC etc. is 6137. Obviously wrong. And one can guess figures for other countries might be similarly incorrect. It also includes APCs etc
Then what is your figure please. No, look at the legend. active MBT's are given as 3600. Total with APC etc. is 6137. Obviously wrong. And one can guess figures for other countries might be similarly incorrect.
Interesting question, but unfortunately I have none. Then what is your figure please.
Exactly my point. The figures quoted above are also estimates. It probably includes all types of vehicles ever used by Pakistan Army including for e.g Patton tanks and Russian-made T-55 tanks which are now part of the army reserves. If I'm not mistaken the T-55 is used to train tank crews before going on to the Chinese and Ukrainian types. Thanks for the discussion though.Interesting question, but unfortunately I have none.
Army doesn't release any official figure for the total active numbers so one can only do guess-timates at best. Still a figure of 3600 is too high. Even 2600 is too high but could be 'plausible'. I suppose we can say between 2000-2500 range is likely. Infact as many tanks get older 'active' numbers might even be below 2000.
Pakistan had only 50 odd T55s. They had a whole bunch of T59sExactly my point. The figures quoted above are also estimates.
