It also includes APCs etc
No, look at the legend. active MBT's are given as 3600. Total with APC etc. is 6137. Obviously wrong. And one can guess figures for other countries might be similarly incorrect.

Then what is your figure please.

Interesting question, but unfortunately I have none.

Army doesn't release any official figure for the total active numbers so one can only do guess-timates at best from publicly available information. Still a figure of 3600 is too high. Even 2600 is too high but could be 'plausible'. I suppose we can say between 2000-2500 range is likely. Infact as many tanks get older 'active' numbers could easily be well below 2000.

Exactly my point. The figures quoted above are also estimates. It probably includes all types of vehicles ever used by Pakistan Army including for e.g Patton tanks and Russian-made T-55 tanks which are now part of the army reserves. If I'm not mistaken the T-55 is used to train tank crews before going on to the Chinese and Ukrainian types. Thanks for the discussion though.

Pakistan had only 50 odd T55s. They had a whole bunch of T59s

Military equipment of Pakistan, military parade on March 23. A military parade marking the anniversary of Pakistan Day was held in Islamabad on March 23. The Azerbaijani military also took part in the military parade in Pakistan. The national holiday commemorates the date of adoption of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940 and the first constitution on March 23, 1956. On this day, the British Dominion of Pakistan was proclaimed the Federal Islamic Republic of Pakistan, becoming the world's first Muslim country with a republican form of government. The military parade is part of the National Day celebrations. At the parade you could see Haider tanks, this is a modified version of the Chinese VT-4 tank, since 2023 they have already been assembled in Pakistan. Also Chinese VT-4 tanks, which are considered one of the implementation options for the Russian T-14 Armata tank. Pakistani mobile launchers with Fatah-1 and Fatah-2 missiles. The Chinese long-range air defense system Hongqi-9A/P and Hongqi-9BE, also called the HQ-9 air defense system, is an analogue of the Russian S-300 air defense system. Shahin-2 ballistic missiles, Ghauri-I missiles, Shahin-3 missiles and new Ababeel missiles. As well as other military equipment of Pakistan.
