Pakistan🇵🇰's Army Institute of Military History (AIMH) welcomed the 🇺🇸 United States Military Group-Pakistan (USMIL GP-Pak) on July 30, 2026, for an exchange of ideas on the research, preservation, and education of military history.

The delegation was briefed on AIMH's research methodology, publications, Military History Education Program (MHEP), Army Staff Rides, archival preservation, and Oral History Preservation Program (OHPP).

The delegation also visited the Taxila Reference Library and viewed historical artifacts, medals, artwork, timelines, and a gallery of prominent military personalities.

The delegation was also informed about "The American Rangers Rescue: A Pakistani Narrative," which highlights 🇵🇰 Pakistan's role in rescuing 🇺🇸 American Rangers during the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu.

Chief of the General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu held a phone conversation with Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Commander of the Pakistan Armed Forces and Army.

In the conversation, bilateral relations and regional issues were discussed.
