Top brass haramkhors sending ill equipped sons of the soil to die.

Stop posting Indian sources. Yes, some casualties did occur, but quoting this baba bananas clown is essentially doing unabashed Indian propaganda. Everything is exaggerated. He is an Indian government handle.

If Russia can have defense day parade after getting nearly million troops killed in action, why cant Pakistan have defense day?
The whole idea behind terrorism is to sap the morale of the nation. And we have some here, who under the garb of "constructive criticism", continue to undermine the country because they have a bone to grind on the political front.

The entire purpose of the Takfiris and BLA is to undermine the national confidence of Pakistanis. This is the entire rationale for foreign powers to use terrorism against another state.

The point is simple, in this war of attrition, Pakistan must and will prevail inshallah. Yes, we will lose our sons in KPK and Balochistan, but the attrition on the other side is even more devastating. This nation of ours needs to be ready for such losses instead of raising a cry and hue over each such incident. None of these actions slow down our response. Those go on. Not one officer or jawan is thinking, "ok, we should give up". Our recruitment is not slowing down. Whether it is the armed forces or the FC, young men are consistently thronging recruitment centers in record numbers. That tells you that the national conviction to take the fight against these Takfiri bastards is as strong as ever despite the losses and sacrifice.

Technology and protection will get better over time. Nobody mourns these boys more than those who share the uniform with them so cursing those in command makes little sense. The defense budget is what it is, they have to manage with that and they are doing the best they can. No foreign aid is forthcoming or being asked for. We are managing this on our own. Yes, we will lose lives, but we will overcome iA.

Those criticizing and cursing the military hierarchy over these casualties fail to understand that instead of the trucks, if we send the boys out in MRAPs, they will still be caught in these ambushes and be sitting ducks. Case in point is the heroic story of our T-59 tank crew that fought to the last man from within the tank (as protected as they were inside but even that did not last for lonh in a multi-directional ambush). Both heavier hardware and light skinned trucks have their pros and cons when it comes to taking the fight to the terrorists. You move with MRAPs, guess what the Takfiris are doing? They are planning with even heavier IEDs.

Our fight is over the entirety of the remote vastness of Balochistan and KPK. We are not hunkered down in a few main/forward bases as the ISAF were in Afghanistan. Neither we, nor ISAF could afford constant air support, even with drones it is not possible.

I state this understanding this is a tough fight for our boys, but you have to hand it to these boys and their officers for keeping the morale high and weathering the casualties.
Inshallah, Pakistan will stabilize this situation. There is nothing that either Afghans or the Indians can do to keep this unrest at a boil for ever.

There are areas to improve, and these include accelerating destabilization efforts inside IOK/Punjab and inflicting attrition on the Afghan Taliban. The offensive nature of these actions will have an impact on the ability of these terrorists to operate within Pakistan. This is not easy, as it has to be properly calibrated but GoP has to start delivering some pain on the other sides.

We should celebrate the sacrifices these men are making and realize that the ones doing the fighting are not losing their resolve. The arm-chair generals here and on X need to learn to do better instead of the constant hai, hai matam. Losses will be part of this fight and for some time to come.

One last point, when militaries and nations bleed, it hardens them.

How many and who? Less than 1% from all ranks move abroad.

Most of these claims are thrown around without any significant research.

People usually claim this about the former chiefs of the army. Time and again, it has been proven, shown that 99% are still in Pakistan. Gens Beg, Kakar, Karamat, Raheel Sharif, Kayani, and even Bajwa live in Pakistan. Musharraf moved for reasons known to all and then stayed overseas due to the acute diagnosis leading to his demise. While some may travel overseas from time to time for personal reasons, all of them have their primary domicile in Pakistan.
What about their kids.. How do they pay for their living and education abroad.. Yes, not everyone is corrupt by all corrupt are running the establishment.

This is why brother Oscar. It's because they're being sent to battle in pick up trucks rather than bullet/blast proof MPC's. The bayghairat Generals can't put funds aside to provide proper equipment for the poor foot soldiers. Quite frankly, they don't give a flying sh1t about the everyday soldier. Lights, Fireworks and another war song release will brush all their failures under the carpet......

Agreed - that is an open problem and I have lost my cousin to this issue.

However, what is the correlation to pickup trucks vs increase in insurgency due to a hostile government in Afghanistan and pretty much zero local government assistance in border areas?

There isnt just one root cause here.

What metrics show all kids who go abroad go with your money(which is not your money since you're an expat yourself).

My father is not military - yet I did my master abroad - our only property was sold to fund this endeavor and even then I picked up the odd assignment or ten to survive.

The family was living in my grandfather's place as most Pakistanis do.

My friend whose father is a brigadier - went abroad after his father sold a property(out of two he owned personally - one was a plot received by military and the other division from existing inheritance(which would be there regardless of him being in the military or not). My friend had to work an odd job to pay for his meals and drove an uber at night too - used that money to invest and buy a stake in a delivery pharmacy - convinced his dad to invest more and now its a pretty successful.
What part of that is Haram to you that you can bring receipts for and be able to stand behind it both in a court of law and also in front of god?

Point is, you have emotional and politically charged whatabousitms and NOTHING MORE.

Are there corrupt people in the military? HECK YES - in ways I cannot even begin to describe that would put even bandits to shame. Are there those at higher levels with a lot of wealth -yes - are a percentage of them corrupt and exploited the system and more to get a LOT of ill gotten wealth - with absolute certainty there are individuals I CAN NAME(as if it will do any good).

But does that mean everyone is or even a majority is?
No, the majority are just like the rest of Pakistanis trying to survive in their system - some not even doing the smart decisions and walking away mostly with earnings and savings based on what the system allocates.

Is that system rigged in their favor - ABSOLUTELY!
Is them working within that rigged system corrupt? NO!

Given the opportunity - I guarantee hand on Quran that 98% of Pakistanis would also exploit that system because your self comes first.

More importantly - are you able to point to mutually exclusive behavior that doesn't occur in Politicians, Bureaucrats, Businessmen, Landowners and so on and so forth.

I don't discourage critics - I will be the first to call out exactly how corrupt and how COMPLETELY UNACCOUNTABLE the military is... but I don't tolerate aimless rants.

The question does not come to the will of fighting men.

The question is - if there was a decision point to where the pickup truck that should have had better protection but the budget was allocated to creature comforts for those further up in ranks.

Had that by certainty through receipts available(as if they will ever be) NEVER HAPPENED AT ANY POINT IN PAKISTANI HISTORY?

They pay by selling their government allotted plots. It is a "LEGAL" transaction sanctioned and allowed by the government.

Because there is some political or social stigma in circles outside of the military does not make it illegal or wrong.
