100%, Instead they went with idea of fusing AR/G-3 and AK/G-3. Inherently a cool concept but execution was bad.


But as I said before no point in modern rifles with all the real estate to mount optics and accessories.

But not issuing optics with rifles to grunts.

Pakistan Military needs to focus on weapon system (rifle + optic + accessories) instead of just a "modern" rilfe

If I remember correctly, POF did signed a contract with someone for the local production of optics, what happpened to that? Also, what happened to deal deal with Fed Arms for the production of AR-15's?

I didn't know who makes optics locally in Pakistan, if they do, I'll bet a chicken sandwich and a coke that it'll be chinese rebranded optics.

And I hope that they don't make absolute garbage AR-15s like Fed Arms do.

@Samurai @Metal 0-1 what are your thoughts on the AK4D and do you think if it would have been better if POF had done something like that with their G3's?

AK4D should have been the better and most suitable evolution or upgrade path for the Pak Army arsenal of G3's. Especially when they are so unsure of the rifle replace program and the costs involved with it, at least they should have paved a way for upgrading their G3's to AK4D style.

RaadTactical is making good stuff in tactical gear (batur ED-PC1.0,2.0), cant say for optics even tho they are producing solar powered red dot called optimax. Pof also did partner up with some European firm for producing optics locally

I'm suspicious of raad taac producing them locally, they look very cheap in terms of quality. You'll be better of with Holosun optics (A chinese company but proven optics, in service with some organizations in west too).

And about the POF, I was doing my matric iirc when I heard POF Rep. in an interview that they're going to partner with european companies to produce optics

Holosun is solid. I run one on one of my M4 clones. Ranger buddy of mine runs a couple as well. He was the one who recommended them to me.
