Ahhh man. How many time would I need to explain this ?

Okay. Let me go through it again.

KPK literacy rates reached to 55% before FATA merger. But with this merger the overall KPK literacy rate reduced to 51%. Today it is 58% (read latest news on that, its not KPK or PTI source dont worry) including merged districts as well. If it wasnt for FATA, the KPK literacy rate would be 61%.

Now, is 61% better or worst ? And why is it less than the 66% of punjab ?

Now, i will give you a historical context. When pakistan got independence, Punjab had around 5500 schools while KPK got around 1000. Punjab was the first region where British expanded to, and hence it was the first to get these educational institutes w.r.to KPK. So in summary, Punjab had a good start. Like really good start. Literacy rate in 1947, punjab 12-13%, KPK 7-8%.

Now you would say, but does it really matter what happened in 1947 ? We are in 2026. Tell me what KP government did in last 79 years. ? It should have covered the gaps by now and should had 80%+ literacy rate. In response to this question , I will ask.... why is then Punjab liteacy rate not 80%+ ? It had 4-5 times the number of schools, it got early start, it got bigger budgets and somewhat educated population from the start. Why is Punjab literacy rate only 66% and not 80% ?


Nobody here think before they speak... when FATA was merged with KPK, that regions literacy rate was only 33%. Do you believe it had no effect on the 55% literacy rate of KPK after merger ? Do you know how averages are calculated ?

I Hope so.


But does my above post mean everything is good in KPK w.r.to education ? No. The answer is still no. There is alot of room to grow.

Target 1.
Bring FATA average literacy close to KPK average literacy.

Target 2.
Finding solution to out of school kids in KPK which are still 28%. (For punjab it is 21% and baluchistan it is 45%).

Target 3.
Imcrease KP literacy rate to 75% atleast.

that's why we (pakistanis) need to spend more and more on education. And that's what KP is doing. PUNJAB should also follow. Education budget allocation matters. Because government need to incentivize school by investing in infrastructure, stipend, scholarships, free education books and uniform, maybe even start meals in schools. Add necessary services, boundary walls, washrooms, water, classroom furniture to every school. Build computer labs in every school. All this requires money.

Why are PTI Shaikh Chillis from KPK always so focused on negativities in Punjab instead of KPK?
