FIFA updated the impact of this game. Finally we have left the 200 number behind. 199 ranked after this match. Still a long way to go. We should aim for the 150 mark. 158 ranked Myanmar barely beat us 2:1 in the recent qualification matches.

Lots of small sparsly populated islands in the net 40 or so places above Pakistan. Simply being organised and playing regularly should ensure a rise in the rankings of 40 places. After that any further climb in the rankings will be down to the coaching, the talent pool and how well the league system functions in bringing players through.
