IIRC, PAF has attended Red Flag or similar exercises in the US. See any familiar aircraft in this image?

They needed to agree far before then, it doesn't make sense when the missiles start flying and you make an abstract statement about sending him to a "neutral country"? Which country? Was one identified? And did they agree to take him? No so its a nonsensical point at that time.

Frankly urgency was not applied in fixing this matter, and resistance was not applied in trying to convince the United States to wait, b/c there were no red lines for Pakistan, or should I say Musharraf. France is probably in it only for the money. It is risky though. Selling your premium aircraft to Indian air force is a very risky business.
