On the basis of the performance of the Indian Armed forces in the last few days, the Chinese must be thinking they can reclaim their lost land quicker than they were originally expecting to be able to.

The Vikrant was basically on an expensive sightseeing cruise. Apparently they did not even generate any flight ops and in a case of “wth are you doing” at certain points were without they typical AA escort net as well.

Just a result of losing initiative and struggling to get messaging and shit together.

They had a naval plan - that involved a sub surface to then surface blockade of SLOCs in preparation for longer term conflict.

The subsurface component of their was first “scared” out of the water as it thought it was positioning undetected. To the point that it was like coming up behind an individual and going “Boooo” and they ran screaming.

Then A2/AD net which already covers most of the SLOC heading west along with threat of aerial hits kept their SAGs from being a credible threat to critical SLOC.
