This is looking like a more and more probable outcome. Had someone asked me a year ago if India would be forced to become even more rabidly and visibly xenophobic in order to achieve its goals viz suppression of Pakistan and the dalitisation of Islam in the subcontinent, I would have argued that this would not transpire.

But Pakistan's crippling blow to India's near mythological sense of dharmic entitlement has totally altered the regional calculus politically, not just militarily.

An article posted here (from Dawn I think) used the term "boxed in" to describe Delhi's leadership following decades of reckless nurturing of hindutva hordes, who have now turned against what they regard to be a leadership that cannot deliver the domineering hegemony that they were so foolishly promised.

If Yogi comes to power and goes all out after Pakistan, then Pakistan's armed forces have already proved that they will strike colossal blows against the invader, forcing Yogi into a rapid escalation, inevitably followed by a 2-front war with China and Pakistan, and suddenly, India's worst nightmare will become her manifest destiny. It is all far more plausible today than it was a month ago.

Who cares what the whites think about us? Couldn't care less. Let's make the Pakistani military many more times more powerful than it is and let's massively improve the Pakistani economy. Pakistan and Pakistanis matter.

Just to offer a counter view, is it not the case these days with so much gray information dissemination and I guess warfare it becomes necessary to toggle across camps just to even have a following?

If we get too .....I suppose emotional or pureitanical on every voice out there, we will probably find that there's not many we can even use, and eventually you cannibalize each other. This is exactly what I see happening across the other side.

The guiding principal, therefore is to follow a golden mean, not to overly idealize or lionize a particular voice, and not to overly hate or scorn another, just take it as you find it and keep assessing the narrative, that protects against any feelings of disappointment or excessive jubilation.

the world is now a very fluid place, especially in the trump world, so in a way having mental dexterity is not just a nice to have but a feature for survival

One more point is that if India is blaming Pak for the Golden Temple, then why did India agree to a ceasefire? Doesn't it care much for Sikhs?
