IAF Israeli/western/russian equipment on paper is equal or superior to PAF's. India wants PAF to keep showing its cards so that IAF can learn to use its equipment. With PAF gone Pakistan is gone. When their exercise occur send up the PAF and have them take offensive positions without doing anything, put them on the edge.

The Indians are carefully measuring Pakistan's capabilities via these exercises and provocations. It's a game of nerves now what Pakistan reveals and doesnt reveal. Indians are not going to make the blunder of under estimating PAF again.

I feel however that their next attack will be primarily naval with Karachi as a target.

I may be wrong here, The actual current inventory of 700 may be correct
The dated Wikipedia site mentions 120 launchers and 5 regiments with. 24 launchers each , Each launcher has 3 missiles ( see picture below) so the total minimum would be 360 missiles and with acquisition the rough total of 700 is probably correct,



We assume some usage (15 used according to the Times of India ), and attrition including destruction of some launchers or storage sites on the ground in May 2025. So the figure could be 30 to 50 . That would leave at least 650+ missiles still available.
This is a significant threat which in the short term can only be countered by retaliation.

Correct, the enemy's objectives are less about military objectives, and so called "terror targets ", than optics to its religion crazed population how they "kill Muslims and destroy mosques ". It is far easier to kill Pakistani civilians than to attack heavily defended targets.
The enemy had hoped that the Pakistani Armed Forces would not retaliate if only civilians were killed, because in their vision the Pakistan's Armed Forces have complete disregard for civilian casualties and only respond to military casualties. So now the media enemy mouthpieces are saying they are "surprised" that the Pakistani Armed Forces retaliated to a purely civilian target being struck. This tactical mistake cost India some losses.

Your thoughts have good rationale behind them, aside they can blunder, they did the same thing in 2019 and got shot down. However the key word is never to be complacent, which the PAF isn't. It's up to the army to make sure the PAF can fight well.
The navy is still yet to receive key ships which could give them immense striking power, and the submarines have not yet arrived.
