If we believe a Indian attack is coming then that is casus beli enough


India may be just strutting around because it feels humiliated, but we can't take that risk

That's why this scenario is so dangerous and India is so stupid for taking this path

I don't think we should act on what we seem to "believe" - however instead of a pre-emptive strike a pre-emptive posture is strategically better. For example:-

1. Declare internationally that Pakistan is going to deal with the Terrorism problem at it's Western Border once and for all.
2. Carry out a couple of nuclear test explosions.
3. Arm and disarm a few Shaheens every now and then, preferably ones with regular payload.
4. Continue the military exercises that we are already doing.

This is just an example to give an idea how such passive aggressive posture can make India and the international community think more than once and perhaps even open up space for diplomacy. It doesn't get rid of the present BJP aggressive mindset and narrative shaping, but it certainly puts in on a leash and buys time - during which procure better offensive / defensive assets.

Regaining their lost pride.
For any rational person this isnt a justification to start a war, but remember we are talking about a bunch of wannabe fascists.

That maybe a justification on a personal level but not at a diplomatic level. Besides, I am not so sure about the "lost pride" optics - what I mean is perhaps the Indian political and military leadership took an ego hit - they were still successful in making their population believe they had the upper hand (I'm concluding that from the social media posts from general Indian population - who seem to believe that they had the upper hand - albeit I shall also concede that this conclusion is reductionist)

The point here is that "regaining lost pride" only works if the general population also think like that - otherwise, the present national illusion provided by the BJP seem to working great for their goals (the illusion where they have convinced their populace that they were on top in May, and will continue to dominate Pakistan, and Modi is their Super Hero to achieve that)

Thinking logically, I think there are only very limited options available for Pakistan to minimize damage from a pre-emptive strike.

This is an obvious fact. Given how imminent the possibility of an attack is we have no time to prepare defensive measures. Our "sense of denial" of an ultimate conflict and our misunderstanding that we can co-exist peacefully with an enemy such as this is going to cost us dearly. The enemy knows it can inflict grievous damage on us and it has correctly banked on the fact that our sense of denial ( that war is just another cricket game ) has left us virtually defenseless. The only mistake this enemy is making is that it is assuming our morale has sunk too low for us to retaliate.

1- Hardened structures for protection of ADs, Fighter jets, etc. Yes I have seen some structures for Fighter Jets but I have not seen anything for ADs, etc.

Hardened shelters, even if they work protecting assets on the first hits, degrade over multiple precision hits on the same target. We have seen this happen multiple times in Syria and Ukraine. Our enemy has thousands of missiles and will hit each target many times. Pakistan's threat from massed supersonic missile attacks is unprecedented as no country in the world has an adversary right on its border launching thousands of missiles into its airspace which has no missile defense. Ukraine and Russia are not parallel examples because both countries have strong anti-ballistic missile and anti-cruise missile defense systems.

2- Obviouosly Indian needs to launch Brahmos - how early can Pakistan detect these? Because if Pakistan has the ability to detect even slight movement of Brahmos, they can issue red alert and have most of their fighter jets and AWACS in the air. I assume that due to tension with india, ADs are already on high alert.

Pakistan can detect Brahmos launches the instant they occur, but getting fighter jets and AWACS in the air in literally 45 seconds is impossible. Even if Pakistan DID manage to have most of its assets airborne how long would they keep flying when they are unable to land on bases with wrecked and cratered runways . This happened in Egypt during the 1967 war when Israel struck not only the airbases but also the civilian airstrips leaving the planes airborne nowhere to land,

3- Pakistan makes a decision to launch Pre-emptive strikes on Indian Military assets specially Brahmos storage facilities. Honestly I think that Pakistan needs to do this soon!

Unfortunately, India has the same early detection capabilities as Pakistan, and will detect Pakistani launches instantly. All Indian assets are heavily protected with layered missile defense systems so damage inflicted would be minimal. Striking cities, infrastructure and population centers which are unprotected is an obvious choice though this will in no way impact India 's capacity to retaliate. A better option is to "launch on detect " . The instant a Brahmos missile attack is detected our missiles are launched heading for civilian targets. It's an evil thing to say to target civilians but once our air and nuclear assets are destroyed by repeated Brahmos attacks our civilians will be targeted too.

In such a scenario FIRST STRIKE gives the attacker a massive advantage

In essence you are picking the time and date of your attack, you have your targets in mind and your plan should be in place

In Pakistan -India scenario that gives India a advantage and then Pakistan will be playing catch up, trying to mitigate the initial damage and respond


Pre-emptive strikes, must be considered by Pakistan if the threat level is so high to give us the advantage of first strike



We already lack comparative strategic depth AND our cities are close to the border, these are historical weaknesses Pakistan has and we can't allow India to strike first


At the minimum we need a immediate response ready NOW, and none of this three day later crap

War can't be avoided. The Hindutva movement has waited for this Andalusia moment for 100:years. Understanding the enemy's objectives is half the battle.

India wont let go Pakistan easily after may losses. Their whole foreign policy and geostrategic posturing of past 30 years came crushing down with rafales wreckage. They desperately need a victory with great visuals in order to gain back their cough cough "investors" lost confidence.

Disagree.. All wars and engagements (1947-1949, 1965, 1971, 2019, and 2025) are just a series of battles in the run-up to a final conflict. India doesn't "need" a victory, it has planned for and expecting a victory. India has studied the Andalusia Spanish syndrome very well . Where India's strategy is flawed is that Medieval Spain had no nuclear weapons and the quest for martyrdom wasn't there.

Pakistani leadership knows this and im sure that they wont allow indians to go unpunished if they were to actually put their plans in action.

I would put my faith instead on the will of the Pakistani people and their ending their sense of denial about their ultimate fate

The minister said that Pakistan’s intelligence agencies were well-equipped to deal with any situation, and put the fisherman in question under surveillance when he tried to procure the items.

“While he was under surveillance, our law enforcement agencies were fully alert and following his trail. He was also asked to get Pakistani currency, cigarettes, match boxes, lighters and was asked to specifically procure Zong sim cards,” he said.

“He procured all these items and he was on his way to India when law enforcement agencies apprehended him from the sea, arrested him and took these items into custody,” the minister said.

“This is part of a greater plan by India to malign Pakistan and to use such propaganda items and disinformation and misinformation, and we have been very active countering the misinformation and disinformation by the Indian media and Indian state,” he said.

“Now this is a glaring example of the extent the Indian state is going to to malign Pakistan because they are not able to digest the successes of Pakistan,” he said.

“So this is the kind of propaganda warfare that they resort to, and detailed investigations have been carried out,” he said, adding that Mallah had also confessed to his crimes.
