Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

PAF is lucky that it has a much better, deeper and richer roadmap for future procurements of stealth platforms from both Turkey, and also China. India's options are not as good. This makes a change since India used to have all the Options and Pakistan less so historically.

Great point

6 hours ago I agreed,,

But I think our response has been substantial and India has been humiliated

Pakistan currently holds the narrative, not only did we humiliate India in front of the world (again) but we avenged a attack on innocent citizens

We need to carry that diplomacy forward, as multiple states told India to control itself

OR we can strike Indian targets,
Which will then likely encourage a Indian response, now they know IAF are useless duffers, they will probably just fire missiles and their will be more death and destruction as we respond

Only for things to be halted in a week or two with much more death and destruction

We can take the win and go for diplomatic battle, laying India naked for the world to see what kind of extremist state it is

Sometimes you got to use your brain

India went across the IB

Pakistan is doing attacks in disputed territory

Not the same.

The larger/strategic goal is to establish a new normal that for every terrorist attack, real financial and reputational costs will be imposed on Pakistan Army.

So far, PA has had the ability to cheaply (for a few thousand USD) set up attacks on India in Kashmir and escalate/deescalate based on their wishes.

The new normal is (including taking own losses) to ensure that every terrorist attack in India costs PA a very large sum of money (increased deployments, combat losses) and increased potential for 'losing face' in front of their population. This will make the PA more circumspect and hesitant to launch terror attacks. Though I must acknowledge, PA is already much more circumspect than in the decades past (FATF, sanctions, etc.).
There’s one flaw in your argument — PA is willing to inflict disproportionate losses on India, and India does not have the appetite for mass casualty events that Pakistan has.

Such a bizarre situation. IAF absolutely silent a full day after horrific losses and despite masses of evidence, not willing to publicly say anything (or not allowed to), as a result the French themselves have to come clean and do the communications on their behalf.

French will be in absolute panic mode right now.

Current Rafale users will want to know how this happened (Greeksm Qataris, Indonesians, Egyptians etc)

Inevitably on any new sales pitches other air forces now will want to know what ahppend and how the good Rafale/Spectra/Aesa is

Inevitably the Saudis may now cancel any Rafale contract and the UAE may be well hoping Iran does not get access to J-10C/PL-15 Combo.

Obviously PAF's training, tactics, AEW and EW all played a role too, but these are also things we can teach other air forces.

Trust me, today has been a disaster for European Defence Aviation as the Meteor too did not perform and that equips Typhoons and Gripens too.

All thanks to our friends the IAF

Bhai it would be reasonable to assume that PM’s speech may imply either de-escalation by not retaliating, or may downplay the likelihood of Pakistan responding to provide tactical surprise factor.

PM’s speech did seem to focus on the performance of the Armed Forces thus far and less of what’s to come
