Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Indian defence X community in total meltdown over such costly Rafale deal without ToT and source codes.

Somebody wake Rahul up and ask him to start doing his job as well - adding to further delays. Good for us.

Man, such hatred for Rafales? "Randfals" and "Obsolete aircraft" 😔

While we can laugh at how bad of a deal this is for them it can't be ignored how much of a tough position it puts us in, I think the bigger question should be what can we do about so many Rafales which say are to be delivered over the course of 5 or so years, even if we induct 40 more J-10Cs they would still be outnumbered 3 to 1, J-35s are beyond 2030 for us, I think it entirely depends on if the PFX or whatever can deliver anything.

PAF will take whatever steps necessary, no matter how impossible they might seem, to not allow any grave instability in the balance of power - relax.

100% .....I posted two days ago....India sees it as another window of opportunity to resume Op Sindoor 2.0....just to wash out May 2025 defeat.
No, they won't. If Indians do it, it will be stupid, especially after Pakistan has defense contracts with Saudi Arabia and Turkey is joining as well, so it's out of the question. It is Pakistan who is itching to exploit old historical methods, the way Afghans used to conquer India.

India appears to be still reeling from the shock of the may drone attacks. The memory of Pakistani drones flying over Delhi and the subsequent destruction of Indian drones by Pakistani civilians using AK-47s remains vivid in their nightmares.

This would be downplaying the threat those Rafale will represent. Because the Rafale to Rafale ecosystem will allow for better networking (in addition to steps they are taking) and potentially start negating PaF current advantages at an exponential pace.

However, that being said PAF options then begin to emerge with J-35 and potentially moving to third party cueing and launch capabilities because you don’t need to shoot down tens of Rafale but instead need to shoot down their AEW and hit their IACCS nodes hours 1-2 in a conflict. That will be sufficient to immediately scatter them.

Bear in mind that the IAF can achieve this as well without the need for LO assets but they will(and they have it) need overwhelming combined ops to achieve this against PAF whereas the PAF with a LO 5th gen fully networked asset could achieve this without needing to put too many assets at risk for this specific task.

At this point, you have to assume that they have a lot of the infrastructure in place to support the Rafale. So, logically, the 3rd order would be more representative of actual unit cost ( + munitions), with a little fluff for plane specific support services.

This contract of $36 billion for 114 works out at $315.7 million per UNIT.. There must be alot of ammunition, or alot of kickbacks and corruption baked into this contract. Nothing else would make sense.

Pakistan can get a J10CE for $50million, to "counter" a $315million dollar Rafale.... go figure.
