I think India’s overall strategy is working.

Those days are long gone when India was losing soldiers in the occupied valley and along the LOC in large numbers on a daily basis. Both the LOC and the valley are now quiet, and the freedom struggle is close to dead. There is no active support being given to fighters in Kashmir like there used to be earlier.

Article 370 is gone. India is changing the demographics, and we can’t do anything about it. This is understandable.

India has put the IWT on abeyance and is building dams on rivers. Again, we can’t do anything about it except raise the issue on international forums, which we all know will not bring any real change on the ground.

India has been actively supporting TTP and BLA for years, and Pakistan has suffered heavy losses—both human and material—for many years now. Even today, Pakistan lost 12 policemen in Bannu.

There are also indications that India is targeting former fighters or those in Pakistan whom it claims are involved in terrorism.

Pakistan has stopped flights from Indian airlines over its territory—and that’s it.

At least Pakistan needs to impose a cost on India for its occupation of Kashmir and terrorism in Pakistan, like it used to many years ago. But again, India has been successful in delivering the message that there will be strikes on Pakistan if we restart this reciprocal policy so we had already abandoned this policy.

Pakistan does so little to damage their reputation at international level, if it was me I would be going around and repeat again and again "india calls China, Turkiye, Azerbaijan and others terrorist supporters" .
