Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

What became of the SAAB that was claimed to be inside that hangar at Bholari? Have asked before in this thread a few times but there seems to be back and forth on "it was never there" or "it only got damaged".

If it was repaired why haven't we showed a picture of it flying around after repairs, like the US is showing with their KC-135s.
Can't say anything the damage it sustained if it was there maybe repaired maybe not still in works but Pic they won't give nor they should give.

It was repaired and flying again...I am sorry if they didnt send you a personal picture and invited you for an official visit with your family for a hoota and let you take pictures standing on the wings ....

Why are you responding to me like that? Kya masla hay?

Should or won't is their decision. We are outsiders on a defence forum. If anything is in public domain then why not find it out.

Otherwise what business do we have finding out if India lost any jets or not? No one here took any part in it but still the whole forum went through every pixel in the wreckage footage/pictures to ascertain the type.

it only got damaged
damage to Nosecone, windshield, and some to the wing . and it has been repaired per @Lion

guess that would be us officially accepting that a saab got damaged .
in other words that is never happening

Repaired by who ? Pakistan or it was sent back to Saab ?

Yes but in this case, that retired PAF guy (can't remember if he's Air Commodore or AVM) had already mentioned it on a news channel right after the fact.

Also kind of shocking that it survived. I can only assume that Brahmos sacrifices total explosive power for pure kinetics. Impact was in corner of the hangar so it never hit directly then.

I didn't know that. It's quite impressive.
We had to do it after a terror attack took out 3 Saabs
We fixed two but one was too damaged and was scrapped

And these Saabs took direct rpgs rounds iirc so the Saab damaged in may is well within our ability to fix

So, Lieutenant General Nauman Zakaria has said at Shangrila dialogue, that Pakistan military's objective is to 'deter war'. It may sound noble but to an adversary it will definitely sound like weakness, as if we are not ready to start hostilities and take damage. This approach needs immediate correction. In the context of the PR stunt that Indians imposed on us, in 2019 and in 2025, our objective should be to prevent Indians from achieving their objectives, simple. Consequently, we need further discussion on what Indian military objectives were, and what they will likely be next time....

The main job of any professional army is to prevent war, not start it. But you can't scare off an enemy if you look weak. To stop an adversary from making a dangerous mistake, you have to be strong enough to show them that if a war starts, the damage to them will be completely unsustainable.
