India's Patiala State Forces entered Srinagar and Jammu BEFORE Pashtun irregulars entered Kashmir.I would have admired jinnah, except that after partition he resorted to send irregulars into the disputed kashmir region which then pakistan made a habbit of in the subsequent conflicts to its own determiment, sending both the countries in this path to hell.
To add to your points.India's Patiala State Forces entered Srinagar and Jammu BEFORE Pashtun irregulars entered Kashmir.
Hari Singh's dogra forces attacked Pakistani villages in Punjab BEFORE Pashtuns entered Kashmir
The reason Indian forces entered Kashmir was to protect the British installed Hindu Tyrant Hari Singh from the wrath of his own Kashmiri people, whom he was comitting a genocide against -- that is how the Jammu became a Hindu majority area.
Now India is attempting to continue this policy, by sending Indian settlers to the region, and then crying victim when locals defend themselves from demographic extremination.
You know something funny, a 'secular' Indian mod perma banned me for writing this undisputed historical fact.To add to your points.

Scale of Violence (Sept–Nov 1947)
Between late August and November 1947, several massacres and forced expulsions of Muslims occurred in the Jammu region. Key points from the major historical accounts:
A. Targeted Killings and Village Attacks
- Reports indicate that segments of the Dogra State Forces, along with Hindu and Sikh militias, participated in violence against Muslim civilians.
- Many Muslim villages around Jammu city, Udhampur, Kathua, and Reasi were attacked.
B. Forced Deportations & Massacres
- Large numbers of Muslims were driven out toward Sialkot (in Pakistan).
- Convoys of fleeing Muslims were attacked en route by armed groups.
C. Estimates of Death Toll
Historians differ in estimates:
- Ian Stephens (editor of The Statesman) wrote that 200,000+ Muslims were killed or expelled from Jammu.
- Ved Bhasin, a Jammu-based journalist, wrote of tens of thousands killed, describing the violence as systematic.
- Pakistani sources often cite 200,000–250,000 deaths.
- Other scholars (e.g., Christopher Snedden) suggest 20,000–30,000 Muslims were killed, plus hundreds of thousands displaced.
While numbers vary, there is broad agreement among mainstream historians that thousands of Muslims were killed and large numbers were forcibly expelled.
Role of the Dogra State Forces
Multiple independent accounts note:
The Maharaja’s administration lost effective control of communal militias, which greatly escalated the killings.
- Elements of the Maharaja’s army, especially in Jammu, participated in or facilitated the violence.
- Muslim soldiers in the state forces had earlier been disarmed or dismissed.
- Refugee militias from Punjab, particularly Sikh groups seeking revenge for atrocities there, were allowed to organize and operate.
Impact on Demographics
- The Muslim population of Jammu sharply declined between the 1941 and 1961 censuses—reflecting killings, mass flight, and permanent migration.
- Large areas of western Jammu emptied of Muslims, altering the region’s demographic balance.
Narrative LostIndia needs to understand, as shown in the May conflict, that they have much more to lose than Pakistan does - narrative, reputation and asset wise.
It's unlikely, but if India chooses to start something again, undoubtedly, Pakistan will do everything in their power to ensure an Indian naval asset loss.
