Because at the end - as was evidenced with the F-16 or even back in 71 when they claimed Mirages downed - militaries do document losses at serial number level, even if the information is not immediately public.

Aircraft losses tend to create internal maintenance logs, logistics consumption, personnel consequences, procurement shifts, satellite or ground imagery opportunities, and eventually some archival or investigative record DOES happen. After all even the USSR could not hide many things and it eventually came out.

Expanding on the above;
If you want an actual "gotcha" its the CDS "The real issue wasn’t the loss of aircraft, but the strategic implications behind it"
Then back in May a retd french intel guy came on CNN to confirm at least 1 loss.
They then said no it was a technical failure at 12k ft - which was actually enough for deniability but because it was a lie and for lies you need more lies - they then came out to say it was not a loss and it was actually deployment of radar decoy to fool Pakistan..

That was enough for Rafale loss proof.

One potential way to look into losses and its actually easier thanks to India's better accountability structure to find losses compared to claims on Pakistan(which is a detriment to Pakistani credibility from a pure "trust me" aspect) although India can fudge tenders and so on if it needs to for national security.

This year India issued a tender 2026_IAF_760666_1. This was an extraordinary ask for additional spares for Rafale - fine - operational tempo BUT in there was "Para and Safety Equipment for Rafale Aircraft"

Typical op-ex spares are fine but when you issue an out of time tender for equipment which are generally good on the logistics cycle for longer - and are tied to crew survival and escape... uhh...goes beyond just loose screws.
A weak point of this claim could be that due to higher op tempo the lifecycle of these spares were consumed

Bayigherat qom did reverse a very good decision to boycott marquee fixture cricket income saar recently. I believe rapprochement in cricket is near completion and we will forever "happily" play these vile individuals who bay for our blood in sports press conferences, keep refusing to shake our hands, and take orders from BJP politicians, all so some PCB officials make a buck while BCCI makes a million.
