Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Some respected and well read users here have the ability to make any thread here interesting... In the blink of an eye

Thukaaee buhat si jaga ki hui thi.... And not just by air force.... The predecessor to today's rocket command and present artillery divisions put their due weight once it was required.
Many Pakistanis unfortunately have a tendency(valid to an extent due to both value of assets used, visibility and impact) to focus on the AF.
However, many aspects including the shoot and scoot which I'm guesstimating vacated more than a few kilometers on the line, near unchallenged UAV surveillance (for reasons best called caution on the other side) post the CM-400 attack - including PA assets and if I did not mishear the claims of friends - cases where probing parties were surprised where they normally would find sniper or MG fire - having to comment " Itna sanata kyun hai bhai?"

Beas and Nagrota sites of Brahmos, 2 S400 and Barnala are the main targets for me. Rest include airbases from Srinagar to Jamnagar, but I am sure we are not like Indians and we understand a base can't be destroyed with a couple of hits. Then there were some army targets like Brigade HQ too. Many others with non-kinetic capabilities like cyber and EW were engaged.
Most important thing is that Pakistan didn't buckle under pressure of USA and brotherly Arab countries. Indian DG MO said on morning of 7th that we don't want to do anything more. Our friends were of the opinion that they bombed your mosques and you shot down their jets, so no need to retaliate. Drone warfare continued but they were hoping Pakistan will not do anything else. I am really happy that we stood our ground.
Detailing this with graphics would be a great episode for your podcast and likely have big impact. It could also serve as a reference point for debates like these.

+1
Would love to see that on your podcast @AeronautIR. A chronicled graphical illustration of how the events unfolded.

Then why do we do so much chest thumping to appear as Supapowa 2047 in Optics……..
I have never done that, so this is a question for those who think they can become a superpower in 20 years without doing any hardwork.
But I am not worried about such theatrics because our adversary is a Vishwaguru with a 2047 vision of its own. This is a reason for IAF's thrashing at the hands of a smaller PAF.

As I said in other posts, if retaliation means the country will default the very next day, it isn't a decision that can be taken lightly. And I don't think it was an OPSEC issue if it was printed in military press.
I disagree. We were also sending drones and battling half the world who were asking for ceasefire. Emotional dialogues that we are a sovereign state and will not listen to anyone don't fly in real world. Without remittances from Gulf countries, our economy can't survive. Not to mention USA is an ally just in name and they always prefer India over Pakistan. Except China and Turkiye, nobody was standing with us.
If the US and Gulf countries had ever indicated they would enforce penalties on us if we spanked Indians harder, it is half bluff anyways. Had we smashed Indians to smithereens, I don't believe we would have starved to death, and see how quickly tables turned and now they need us dearly instead.

How did the US find out what PAFs plans for 10th May were?

It was posted earlier that this info was shared causing India to launch attacks on bases the night before.

It has to be more than just live satellite feed? If not what can be done to prevent this next time?

As expected huge decline by Indian airlines passengers. GCC/Turkiye airlines made a killing. A gift to our muslim brothers airlines by Pakistan. No need to say thank you

it doesn't seem like the Pak airspace is going to open for them anytime soon.
Good to see the losses piling up and their own people shitting on their own airlines and ditching them for the gulfie airlines.

The total number of KIA is more than 200 confirmed, around 250 as an estimate. The recent release was the names of just 6 personnel. They have given reasons like road accidents for many of the deaths during multiple funerals just after Sindoor.
And as I said, it is ok if you are doubtful but Indians have been quite successful in hiding own losses and keeping the debate about satellite imagery or evidence.
There’s no evidence that many were killed . There is evidence that a total of 6-7 jets were shot down. A high casualty rate like that is difficult to cover up. Even with the jets there were leaks your naive to think they wouldn’t be similar leaks if 200+ KIAd. I wish 200 of those sons of bitches were killed but I doubt it.
