Well, Hitting Pakistan proper is new. Kashmir was hit in 2019 and 16.

Kashmir has always been hit, from both sides but hardly mentioned on media. The strike on Pakistan mainland is definitely new and escalation. Let's see if Pakistan will attack Gujrat, Rajestan or Delhi.

Air Defence can hit aircraft and many systems but its not an iron wall.
Indians did not do this without planning

I have been telling this to everyone here both to indians and our people. That air defense of sub-continent is not like Israeli 4 layered umbrella. Even if 100s of billlions are spent you can't replicate that because of massive air space to protect. Not even US can do. So it was super obvious that their missiles will come unintercepted. and its obvious our counter strike (if used via missiles) won't be intercepted.

Not exactly - but India has more guns and they have hit places as well.
They(India) are now doing whatever they can to make it stop at their side and pushing it on diplomatic channels to show they did the “Israel” thing with minimal civilian casualties so now world needs to stop Pakistan and pressure it to shut up and move on.
