The Pakistani Air Force has downed five Indian Air Force warplanes, Pakistani officials and local media reported, following Indian missile strikes on Pakistan that left eight people dead, 35 wounded and two missing.

Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Wednesday said five Indian warplanes were downed.

"If these hostile acts are stopped... We will talk to India. We do not want this situation to escalate," Asif told Bloomberg. "But if there are hostile acts initiated from the Indian side, we have to respond."

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Pakistani military spokesperson, told Reuters that Pakistan shot down three Rafale planes, one Sukhoi SU-30 and one MIG-29 being flown by India.

Indian government sources confirmed to Reuters news agency that three fighter jets crashed in India-administered Kashmir.

An Indian official added a wounded pilot was taken to the hospital.

Earlier, Pakistani Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar told TRT World that one plane had been shot down over the Akhnoor sector in disputed Kashmir and another plane in the Indian city of Ambala, while a UAV drone was downed in the Jammu region of India-administered Kashmir.

A Pakistani military spokesperson said some other Indian defence installations have been "destroyed".

India has yet to respond to Pakistan's claims.

Residents in India-administered Kashmir reported loud blasts and shared videos appearing to show downed projectile parts.

Images showing Indian troops guarding a crashed fighter jet in Wuyan, Pulwama district, India-administered Kashmir, quickly spread on social media.

I would say IAF has 'deliberately' disappeared for bow, since they know a full fledged PAF response is around the corner. Probably last time they chased after the PAF the entire night and were exhausted when PAF actually struck. They would not want to give any inkling of their ground based assets right now by going active and getting marked for the latter battle either.
India can attack again and inshaAllah we will down 10 aircraft this time then.

I could not care less what this video says but if there was a lost Pakistani jet inside India it would be plastered all over India media - and if it was inside Pakistan at least some video of a crash would have emerged.

So unless Indian government claims it - and then other reports trickle in this is just pure in the air.

Because you are looking at it from one dimension and that too opaquely.

There are SEVERAL dimensions to this conflict happening on a miliatary, resource, economic, diplomatic level that go well beyond the last 15 days and go well years into the future based on Pakistan's economic, diplomatic, social, internal security and military aspects.

Please dont forget that 70% of the Balochi population is now hostile to any state employee or asset along with any Punjabi. KP is now getting a hostile population approaching double digits. Your political landscape is a banana joke and people do not have faith in the current leadership or any leadership for that matter.

That does not mean a large percentage of the Punjab Sindh belt and a large percentage of KP wont stand behind their fighting men - but this is the WORST time for Pakistan to face this crisis and PRECISECLY why India chose this moment - except that it was expecting a cake walk and instead has badly cut hand and leg.
I think we are going in circles, I don't agree with your post.
The "70%" angry baloch will remain angry, India won't stop supporting them, nor does TTP.
I don't want to discuss what is wrong with Baloch and Pashtoon here in this thread, point is doing nothing will only embolden the Indians and we will not achieve anything, wait for Pakistan to have water/food shortages, and than our response will come? only difference is that, than we will be the aggressors. Lets wait for NSC meeting and see how and what Pakistan Army respond with if they are indeed thinking of a response.

Uttar Pradesh being 700 Kilometers from Pakistan Border, is Pakistan planning to go deep into India ? Why Red alert in UP ? Planes will never risk getting into Indian airspace. Could we possibly be looking at Missile Strikes deep into India ?

I have a feeling that India is never going to reveal the model of these jets and godi media, million of bjp bots like DDG-80, Pingle will working around the clock to twisted into another great Indian victory, because they can not afford to admit losing their worshipped alien tech French jets.

they will even make a bollywood film on this

if India further escalate the war, PLA army shall deploy along the border and 055 destroyer and submarine will sail along the coast line of Pakistan to deter any further threat from India. Now IAF is overwhelmed, they had lost the air superiority.
If the United States takes side with India, China will stand strongly with Pakistan.
You can send all the weapon that China wishes to test. Its a good PR opportunity after PL-15 and HQ9

Sources on the ground in BWP telling me that PA knew about attack and cleared many madrassas. Many of them empty . The Indians just killed some kids and civilians.
The attack was known about - but not all axis were known - and more importantly. Creating panic would make Indian assets on the ground and their space eyes aware Pakistan knew.

It's a very very muddy game of chess that has to be played instead of the angry young men rants everywhere.

Seriously?

What will be the outcome of this unprovoked assault? Absolutely nothing.

These two countries will just end up buying more weapons from the West to show off their so called military superiority, while keeping their own people in crushing poverty.

Meanwhile, the rich will keep getting richer, and the poor will keep fighting each other. These nations need to seriously wake up and realize who actually benefits from this never-ending conflict: those running the weapons industry.

"Divide and conquer" has always been their motto. It's baffling that these countries, after being oppressed for over 200 years, have still failed to learn anything from their history
