I don't doubt the rafale is a highly capable aircraft, likely the best in its class and generation.
But in general, aircraft are now very susceptible to modern air defence systems and I also don't think that the Indian pilots are.....of the greatest calibre

Read my post again, this is exactly what I said but with different words. What has been decided is the keyword and we both know this decision was not his.

You give F-22 in the hands of Indians, they will fall down too. They have a special talent.

Rafale is a very capable jet.

Some posts on the forum itself are suggesting that one aircraft was shot down near Ambala. Ambala is almost 300 kms inside India.
Neither of the nations has any AD system to destroy an aerial target that deep.

Paksiatn would most definitely strike back. If they launch standoff weapons like India, it is unlikely that India could stop them either.
The extent of retaliation and damage would determine the further escalation or cooling down.
In 2019, Abhinandan factor had played a big role in diffusing the tensions.

3 days ago. Your 4 French Rafale fighters ran away they were locked on by the J10C. The Deputy Commander of the Indian Air force dismissed with in 24 hours after the incident!
