Look at the map of IoK: It seems like an almost detached piece of land, vaguely holding onto the rest of India with just a few bridges connecting the two regions, with the fairly alienated Sikhs in Indian Punjab and a hostile population in IoK itself.

Sudden Indian drone incursions inside Pakistan (Gujranwala & Gujrat) are likely pokes at establishing & gathering data on air defence systems & response.

One Drone has been shot down near Dinga in Gujrat (my home district & tehsil) and one over Gujranwala.

These are quite deep incursions.

The fact is that the J10C is not suited to attacking ground targets, it is a pure air superiority fighter. And it is unlikely that the US will allow F16s to be used to attack India, the F16s will probably not be able to take off. Pakistan's air superiority actually makes it difficult to help ground forces.

A Pakistani analyst has pointed out how vulnerable India's 'supply lines' into IoK is. He identified places which are close to the International Border, places which are not year around crossing into IoK... The Operation Gibraltar 1965 was premature and the Kargil War 1999 was ill conceived but things have changed in IoK since Modi alienated the Kashmiris starting August 2019 AND he also alienated the Chinese who are now sitting on top of Ladakh in a hostile posture.
And no one is going to come to help India--not even the Russians because they have seen India's true face, which is a Two Face. I will try to look up a recent video of Khurshid Kasuri, a brilliant Foreign Minister of Pakistan, where he mentions how India was 'too clever by half' in last few years and ended up alienating even the Russians.

it's fine with hitting ground targets. Its a multirole fighter not air superiority fighter.
