I think its time we swallow the bitter pill. Most likely there is no large retaliation coming, Look all around the Pakistani media, there aren't any calls for more, or questioning why the GHQ has yet to respond, the Media is instead pushing the fact that we took down 5-6 of their aircraft, making it seem like that is enough, or that is payback for the lives lost. GHQ hasn't been in such favor from Pakistani public in many YEARS, They can easily continue to push this fighter jet narrative and call it a day. And are the officials at GHQ ready to leave their posts if something goes wrong incase of a retaliation, can they risk their posts to escalate this conflict?

A lot of reports coming from Amritsar, of people woken up by huge blasts last night. Its all over Social Media and I have seen lots of people form Amritsar talking about this online. Indian govt is completely ignoring it and not commenting on any request for information about it.

I have seen people talking about it everywhere and many are claiming that this happened near the airport. Parts of what seem to be an air-air missile have also been found in a different are, though the explosion was not heard in that village, it was heard in central Amritsar. There is a report about it published just now, on Tribune India.

I fully understand your emotions, I am also just as angry as you. I am not an emotionless android - I am a Pakistan and I am so angry that these cockroaches have launched attacks on our soil. But Pakistan gave a good defensive response yesterday - India is constantly prodding Pakistan to react.

Please pray for Pakistan and as for when the time comes to stand up and be counted - we will all be there. Insha'ALLAH.

That was not a response, it was minimum point defence, stop justifying cowardice. Its not about emotion, its about our strategic future.

If we let this happen we will be accepting India's hegemony in the region and there ability to strike anytime they want in Pakistan with impunity. If we let this happen, they will ramp up TTP and BLA insurgencies without fear to a level we wont be able to sustain. If we let this happen, our strong man impression in the MiddleEast, Turkey and China will vanish.

Good luck securing bailout packages from the Arabs and strategic partnerships with Turkey and China which are crucial for securing and developing weapons we need when everbody see's us as a pushover.

We have kept India at bay for more than 70 years by maintaining credible strategic deterrence. If we let go of that policy, we are finished.
