Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Exactly. Serious bias at play on the BBC website. Also, recall that the Delhi BBC Bureau that serves BBC's central office (and compiles the thread you just highlighted) is under de-facto Indian government control following "tax raids" recently.

Why is it that many people from AJK also want to become independent?
I wouldn’t be able to say if many do. It’s possible for sure. I’m not from there myself.
In regards to Singapore, there are more Indians here than Pakistanis, Tamil is one of the official languages and Buddhism is the most practiced faith. I haven't really encountered any hostility towards myself, being a Muslim, maybe due to the Malay population which is prominent. The Malay I have met usually have a positive attitude towards Pakistan yet others seem neutral and sometimes negative. Overall, most people get along well.
Thank you for sharing this. Have you discussed current Pakistan and India hostilities with the Malays, Chinese, Indians like at work or your friends? Do they understand how India did not provide any evidence of Pakistan being linked to the terror attack in Pahalgam before suspending a decades old treaty and initiating hostilities against Pakistan, attacking a masjid, and killing innocent civilians?

Some Chinese I know have asked and I have told them about how India has tried provoking a response since the incident. They seem neutral towards the issue, Indians however (Tamils) aren't too fond of Modi so are also neutral. There are some Malay who have resentment towards Indians, (Modi supporter types) and some have told me that they are siding with Pakistan. Most people are just hoping a peaceful resolution is reached, rather than picking a side.
