Let us talk about India and Indian AF, they have a large fleet of high tech aerial platforms in the form of aircraft and drones built by France, Israel and Russia. We have few F16s, J10s and JF17s. Both sides may know the stats of weapon systems of their enemies but they do not know many other factors.
Training is one of the crucial factor in the war game. Operators should not only be excellent in operating their weapon systems but they should be able to use other feedbacks available in war theater to optimize the efficiency in using their weapon systems in this war theater environment.
Air defence is another factor.
Use of terrain is also a factor. And many more.
These are unknown variables of war game.
Apparent delay is actually not a delay, it was used to prepare well using many updated inputs so that execution should be almost flawless. in case PAF it was visible during operation swift retort. Let's hope similar or better results could be achieved after the end this drama.
Furthermore this delay after declaration about response results in stress factor to increase among enemy support units like radar operators and air defence.
