Those talking to drones getting through and especially the ones seen over cities - there is another aspect to it.

As the Indian drone swarms come through - they are ALL picked up.

Then - sorted
Prioritized by where they are heading at the moment and then whichever can be jammed they are.

Then assets seen which can respond to them - ideally looking for the most cost effective asset against the drone instead of sending(and exposing) high value systems to EW listeners in India.

Then - those that are close enough where they can be hit by AAA or Manpads or those biker boys are hit.

Now since they were jammed from the start - they are essentially either on a pre-programmed flight or they are so fried that they cannot do anything else except go to their most basic of flight software and start loitering over the area they were suppose to go.

Then its a matter of shooting them down - but from a purely military and defense point of view they are harmless.

Most if not all of the damage taken by Pakistani military targets has been standoff or SSM system.

The bottom line is that it is the man behind the machine which counts.

The problem of the f35 sale to India is partially the platform but the fact that the USA may insist on changes to the IAF itself to get the best out of the platform, training, processes, the whole ecosystem. That is the thing to watch out for.
