Advantage of having same country equipments is the integrated systems throughout the equipments. Rather than multi nations equipments where no link between equipment systems . In a weird way we have to thank Washington for this Pakistan and China military partnership f16 bans made it all happen.

Yes, India has multiple systems

So french Rafael's and mirages
Russian su30s, mig 29s, mig 21s
Jaguars are British I think
Tejas is a Hodge podge with a American engine, different parts from different countries
A mixture of Israeli, western, Russian, Indian weapons

It's a mess of system, that they then try to work together

If they add American F35s
Russian Su57w
or Japanese 6th gen NCAP

They will just worse the situation and still lose

IAF has A LOT of work ahead of it


And Pakistan can simply carry on its way, Induct the J35
Maybe some more J10s and JF17s/PFX

Get rid of PGs, Mirages and eventually F16s
And possibly just add the KAAN as a heavy 5th gen bomber
