Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Just wondering what would have been the impact IF Pakistan would have retaliated on Sunday night / Monday morning, just before the stock exchange opened in India and airport remained closed for couple of days?

And all the call centers not able to support customers around the world. How many client would have said goodbye to India?

I hope the policy makers in Pak are taking note. There is a reason why India selected to attack on Friday night (i.e. the weekend).

Why wouldn't? $$$ and India is a 'strategic ally' of America, the humiliation of which is not a welcome news in the Western capitals.
There are already growing voices in India, despite the fear of virtual or real lynching, that the Indian entanglement with Pakistan has failed and that puts Modi's political survival at stake. He needs to rebuild his 'image' in India. Even a leftist Indian channel has just said that Modi will attack Pakistan soon.
Pakistan must very carefully watch Indian missile deployments.
Here's how I see things:

Post trade deal

UsA is helping rub it in to India

Eventually knowing they got no choices
This is the ideal time and position for the USA to get India to commit to buying the F-35.

If the USA demands this now, the Indians will have no choice but to oblige.

There is a thought that seems to have alluded us..., and that was the absence of the Viper in this entire episode.

We all know that as per the US's End-User Agreement, we cannot use the F-16's against India in an offensive role. That Agreement does not cover defensive role.

So, since the IAF did not cross the LoC, it explains why there is no mention of Vipers.

The Viper has been the frontline Fighter for decades and not going into its History and capability..., the serious question on the US's mind must be: Does Pakistan really need the US anymore in terms of Military Aid ?

The J-10C & PL-15 (still less in numbers) out performed The Mighty Rafale.

Pakistan hasn't bought any Military Hardware from the US since ... Musharaf era.

A week back..., the US would have thought that Pakistan would always want to buys more Vipers - even used ones.

Looks like those days may be a thing of the past.

@Oscar

During war I think end user agreements are thrown in the bin. With no AESA and just the AMRAAM C-5, the Viper is no longer the spear tip. It goes to show just how far the PAF have come in 6 years. In 2019 the Viper/APG-68/AMRAAM combo was the dominant force in South Asia. That has been take over by the J-10C/PL-16/AESA combo.
Furthermore with the full spectrum EW/Cyber warfare going on in cordination with Chinese systems, it may have felt have the Viper in teh front line may have complicated efforts. Others can correct me here, but from i have read the front line fighters in the big air battle were the J-10Cs and JF-17Cs.
You are right that one of the strategic implications of this battle is the fact the US is no longer a supplier of anything cutting edge to Pakistan forces. Once J-35 comes along with J-10C/JF-17C/J-35, F-16 will be very much second line. Mirages and F-7s comopletely gone I imagine.
This will present a dilemma for US. Their leverage will be purely economic no, no chance of them crippling any of our systems. P-3C being replaced, no major US made ships and Cobras are ancient and on the way out anyway

It would not be a wise idea for Pakistan to buy more F-16s. It is an amazing jet. But it has way too many strings attached to it. Even any potential upgrades can bring even more of those strings.

It was a good to have while it lasted.

Indian Sponsored Terrorism in the region

I have got one question: Indian sponsorship of terrorism in South Asia is more than half a century old. They unleashed the maniac of suicide bombers when no one even knew that something like this also existed.

And they continue this terrorism in the region. Mukti Bahini, LTTE, BLA, TTP etc. to name the few of the terrorist organizations which were/are created, armed, trained by Indians.

1) Why are we not highlighting this and getting side-tracked by Indian narrative?
2) Now that India has set the bar for war so low, what happens next time it targets Chinese via its terrorist proxies?

PS: Since my older nick is somehow no longer valid and had to make a new one, cant unfortunately open a new thread. @Waz, @Oscar : Brothers could you make a new thread for this? We need to discuss this and highlight it in details. Thanks!
What i have been thinking. Are 26 indians more important in their 1.6 billion population or our select few Chinese engineers who come here and help us with projects?
Unfortunately this issue wasn't raised at all in recent briefingz by ISPR or by our journalists who were present there.
That is one thing i give modi credit. He wont let attacks on Indian civilians become norm. Something unfortunately we have.

Absolutely useless plane

Missing in action for decades

India has been humiliated multiple times now and Tejas is nowhere to be seen

I think it is very rude of us not to involve the official spokesperson for Tejas to comment. He will be able to explain why it was MIA

@Tejas Spokesman

Sir jee.....

This aspect is overlooked.
Some even seem disappointed as to why we didn't use them.

Answer is simple....DECOUPLING. We have demonstrated we are no longer reliant on sanction prone hardware. This trend must continue.

The Americans cannot be trusted..

The platform is considered a credible threat. IAF inability to field it in numbers including serviceability keeps it irrelevant.
PAF doesn't consider it a credible threat. Nuff said.
