Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Normality returns as nuclear-armed neighbours step back from the brink

Dawn Report
May 11, 2025

• India, Pakistan agree to stop all fighting after days of missile, drone attacks
• Trump announces surprise ceasefire, congratulates two nations on using ‘common sense’
• State secretary, vice president also actively involved in mediation
• Dar engages with Chinese, Saudi and Turkish FMs, receives appreciation for restraint
• Indian foreign secretary says two DGMOs spoke to each other; conflicting statements by Indian ministries on their next talk
• Reports of ceasefire violations from both sides of LoC
• Indian officials say ‘punitive measures’ announced after Pahalgam attack remain in place
• PM calls for dialogue, urges peace talks on Kashmir, water issues
To be brutally honest, no one cares what Indians think, they have their narrative and we have ours.

Partition happened for a reason.

. . .

Restraint is going to cost Pakistan alot, in the long run.

If LOC becomes IB, than treaty or no treaty, they will turn the fertile soil into a barren desert.

Balochistan needs to be developed ASAP, where some places are 1000 km + far away from the Eastern border. The mountains and rugged landscape, will provide the perfect fall back.

Egypt couldn't stop the construction of the Aswan Dam, even though it's far stronger than Ethiopia, with statements of bombing the dam, but nothing such materialised.

And the servants of the people think they can convince or force, the Eastern neighbour into submission, just because of having news toys, which is economically more than 7 times stronger?

Even Qatar yesterday was forgiven, kind of, for support to controversial Muslim nations / militias / parties because it has deep pockets, and bought billions of dollars of American products.

War isn't over... This is a ceasefire.

Warmongers inside India aren't happy with the results of their "Operation", they may still plan another false-flag as a pretext to launch further misadventures.

I agree and even if it's over there is no gurantee that war will not to happen again any time soon. But We can discuss things here and i don't see anything wrong in it.
