I feel that the reality is that the U.s condescended to India's shrill Pakistan blame for everything narrative because they wanted India to be a more effective front against China, however now that it's apparent that India will not be that America is not willing to indulge the anti pakistan narrative as much, after all why should it if that means that Pakistan goes so deep with China that America no longer has any utility to Pakistan.
Therefore, I really don't understand and infact respect Indian strategic thinking, where they actually think that they can effectively trick and con America into supporting India to be a serious bigger power, without giving anything proportionate back.

The answer(s) perhaps lies in this video. This is about Indians moaning about Trump 'backstabbing' India. There is a lot of pain in this video though the Ambassador in this video is giving it a positive Chanakya spin but even then, at the end, the gloom can't be hidden. Especially demoralizing for Indians is Brahma Challany's admission that India has no friends! I think the conclusion from this video is that India can't rely on America unless India buys all its weapons from America and kowtow to American interests, thus becoming America's 'larger Pakistan'. But it was not just the Trump II administration: Even Biden was not warm toward India; the excessive warmth under Trump I has been absent.
PS. It was noticeable that the Prime Minister of Pakistan in today's victory celebration ceremony at the Monument of Pakistan, after thanking many nations, said 'above all' Trump for the support.

if they dare another misadventure, this time there should be no restraint at all. If Pak does not take them out completely, they will attack viciously and with all their firepower (missiles) and/or navy. May even use other countries' pilots for Rafael hence our response next time needs to be to completely take them to the cleaners. Hit ALL their economic and military and all operational centres. Take them out. Let them rebuild their country from scratch.
If we don't, we may pay and incur heavy losses, and Pak cannot take more hits on our cities. That should not happen again!

Nuclear powers can be bombed conventionally or attacked asymmetrically Just some precedents:
1. Ukraine has successfully bombed Russia a nuclear power on its territory many times.
2. Iran struck Israel (nuclear power) on its territory in two large missile attacks.

On item 4 above. The conflict is paused and a progress to a full fledged nuclear war is 100% certain.

In the end of day the question is what did india achieve?

It is already sealed and we need 42 Rafale. Unlikely we get war with our neighboors as they are very small compared to us ( unless we try invade them), so the threat must come from the sea whether incoming freegat, aircraft carrier or balistic missiles from far away very powerful nation. In this case, Rafale still needed to strike enemy ships coming from the sea or incoming missiles.

I would say Indonesian AirForce will likely scrap F15 EX acquisition plan and focus to stealthy KF21. So Rafale deal is not effected since it is already paid, but F15 EX is likely effected since it is still MOU deal...

This is why I see many defense media has logic issue when writing....
