Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Indian generals seem to me more naturally as accountants and economists.
The days of the Indian officer like Sam Manekshaw are long gone. Indian Officers spend far too much time writing papers. Sorry to gloat but Pakistani Generals lead from the front and have been engaged in conflict for the past two decades. It shows in how they operate.

Why is Pakistan agreeing to this while IWT is still suspended?

This is simply not true - this is an agreement in principal. There are a number of requests from India and a number of requests from Pakistan - both of which were to be discussed at a mutually acceptable venue as per previous DGMO comms disclosed on media.

Whilst we wait on some solid updates on the conflict - may I respectfully request members to consider reviewing this very important thread and sharing their "two cents" please.

Iron sharpen's iron, I guess. Pakistan, for whatever reason has consistently been involved in some form of military engagement.

I was not trying to make a joke, more on observation btw

How is it, that a financially crippled Pakistan military, can decisively win at the point where India has never ever been more richer or confident in its abilities

These are the sort of contradictions, that ultimately India will have to reconcile, Pakistan need not even enter the debate substantially

The Indian elite truly are cruel and indifferent to their masses.

They are being fed comic book-like, epoch defining civilizational battles, and they channel it through a hopeless and hapless avatar like this old fellow.

He already is a broken and defeated and emotionally unstable.... and this is the type of guy who will guide them to anything?

These media guys, have to know the damage they cause, surely

Pakistani elite have learned a lot from brahmin elite of india. Pakistani elites DNA has been corrupted by Indian elite DNA. they both behave the same.

Mr. Swaheny claims that Sam Manekshaw's request for six months to prepare for victory on the eastern front (showed incompetence not clever planning!). But Manekshaw's real concern was a potential loss on the western front, which speaks volumes.

I am not a weapons or military expert, I am just saying what i noticed.

Pakistan certainly learned much from War On Terror in the region. Pressure, exposure and experience created demand for better situational awareness and development of useful tactics. There is more focus on preparation and vigilence.

However, India is investing in standoff munitions and drones to attack our assets from a distance. They find in Pakistan a good teacher as well.

Manekshaw always maintained Pakistan were the stronger side - just cut off from supply lines and heavily outnumbered.

of course he would... becuase, that would make him look stronger.
We were outnumbered in '71 heavily, that was the reason of that particular result.

Agreed, likewise our patrons have found this battlefield a source rich with battle data which will lead to greater developments in emerging military technologies. It should be reminded that it wasn't a boast when DGISPR said "Pakistan possesses many niche military technologies - which have not yet been used, many such surprises are waiting.".

And that speech "Pakistan is the last bulwark"... That wasn't hyperbole, that was a clear and present message to those who needed to heart it.

Learning to read between the lines is very important. It would be foolish to dismiss the enemy, but it would be equally silly to think that those charged with defeating enemy capabilities will not thoroughly examine and analyse the enemies TTP: Tactics, Techniques and procedures.

No doubting the courage of Pakistani military officers.

Regarding India, there is no doubt that India count him as a hero, but Sam Manekshaw remains a terrorist handler, trainer and enabler, and hence a terrorist himself, in the eyes of Pakistanis. He opted to proudly deploy those who brutally massacred civilians in erstwhile East Pakistan as a weapon of war. He also led the invasion of a sovereign nation state, unprovoked. He would experience no moral quandary at all for committing water genocide or for deploying BLA units to kill Pakistani and Chinese civilians if he were here today.

71 outcome aside, the man was a brilliant strategist. Even Salahuddin Ayyubi commended the brilliance military of Raynald, although Raynald would ultimately go onto breaking the truce between the crusaders and the Muslims - leading to his death at the hands of Salahuddin's forces.

In military strategy you remove personal feelings and sentiments and examine the strategies, that is how you learn. You adopt their methodologies and tactics. Do you know why the US invested so heavily in "Human Terrain Teams" in Afghanistan? :)

It ultimately adopted their urban war-fighter program to what we see in Ukraine now.
