Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

of course he would... becuase, that would make him look stronger.
We were outnumbered in '71 heavily, that was the reason of that particular result.
Manekshaw went for overwhelming superiority in numbers at the Eastern Front. Imagine facing odds ranging from 8:1 to 12:1 depending on the area of ops. Add to that the threat of MB from the inside. Hell given those numbers it is no wonder we lost then.

71 outcome aside, the man was a brilliant strategist. Even Salahuddin Ayyubi commended the brilliance military of Raynald, although Raynald would ultimately go onto breaking the truce between the crusaders and the Muslims - leading to his death at the hands of Salahuddin's forces.
we were too young as a nation in '71. Were just not mature enough to handle cracks (IMO). Regarding, Salahuddin, I think, Leper king, would explain a lot!
It was always the Templers and still are!

thats what Mr. Swaheny is saying, they did not need this much on the eastern front to start with (it was always the western front), unless there was something wrong with the mindset.

Pakistan certainly learned much from War On Terror in the region. Pressure, exposure and experience created demand for better situational awareness and development of useful tactics. There is more focus on preparation and vigilence.

However, India is investing in standoff munitions and drones to attack our assets from a distance. They find in Pakistan a good teacher as well.
But when I look back at past incidents — 1965, 1971, 1984, and 1999 — it’s clear that there were major blunders on both sides of the military leadership. Still, some individuals rose above the chaos and did their duty with courage and conviction.

As an Indian, I feel safe until we have — like Syed Adil Hussain Shah, the policeman who tried to snatch a gun during the April attack in Pahalgam and lost his life, and Tukaram Omble, who faced the terrorists head-on during the 2008 Mumbai attacks and lost his life.

When a country is served by people like that — those who aren’t afraid to take a bullet to protect others — it gives the entire nation a sense of safety. Not just because of their weapons or uniforms, but because of their courage. Their presence says: “You’re not alone. I’ve got your back.”

I am sure similar people are found in Pakistan as well.

However, military planners of both sides made so many mistakes in the past, can't say who is better planner at the present day

Is that reasonable to say, the article is implying that the US is trying to adopt this now, I thought it was already built in to the f 35 infrastructure
Nothing new - some arrogant ignorant American trying to downplay Chinese achievements. According to famous investor Ray Dalio, 60% of US population has the literacy standard and comprehension of a 6th Grader !! Yes you heard it right. So I will classify this guy as probably the one with standard of a 7th Grader at the most.

You have valid observations but Indian mission planning wasn't good in 2019 and recently. Your Army can certainly fight and have cards to play but your Air Force have poor tactics.

The US have well-developed military networks and MDO concept was first mentioned in Western literature. His writing or choice of words are subjective.

Thyou you, and I thought so

west is not digesting things easily, ego hurts.

now if someone finds excuses like this man above said, fight does not portray the relative capabilities of the J-10 vs Rafale.

rather he should be praising the planning and the tactics used. but then, how will they sell their stuff? it is a big blow to them and can't be swallowed easily.
Agreed. Virtually every western analysis very very grudgingly accepts what happened but they Bend over backwards to try to put forward wording to mitigate India’s utter humiliation. They are programmed to be rabidly anti Chinese and their bet on India now looks like a joke so reality is hard for them to stomach. Can u imagine their reporting if heaven forbid the boot was on the other foot🙈

Yeah, 5 shot down Indian planes and a S-400 taken out is trying to be equated with the maintenence hangers at Shabaz and Bholari being damaged
