Fundamentally, BOTH Congress and BJP oppose the very existence or the concept of Pakistan. They firmly (and incorrectly) believe that Pakistan was a territory entirely "removed" from India's rightful grasp. They all tell us to "be grateful that Delhi let us have" Pakistan.
We should remind them daily that Pakistan was not won off of India, but rather was won off of Great Britain's imperial posessions, and in spite of Delhi's protests.
What is the Indian identity if it's not 'not-Pakistan'?
