Pakistan’s top military man General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has stressed the need to move towards conflict resolution instead of management, warning that its absence could result in a destructive escalation.

The remarks follow a recent military confrontation between India and Pakistan over New Delhi’s allegations against Islamabad, without evidence, about a deadly attack in occupied Kashmir’s Pahalgam. As New Delhi launched air strikes in early May, killing civilians, Pakistan downed five Indian jets in retaliation. After tit-for-tat strikes on each other’s airbases, it took American intervention on May 10 for both sides to finally reach a ceasefire.

t's quite embarrassing how Indians often rely on their economic strength in discussions about Pakistan, and even more shameless when they resort to spreading propaganda on a Pakistani forum, to make their points known.

The fact is, Pakistan isn't that poor where it is unable afford to purchase weaponry, and India isn't so wealthy that it can impose a complete economic blockade on Pakistan.

If Indians want to criticize Pakistan, they need to come up with a more credible argument. Frankly, if I were in your shoes, I'd be more embarrassed that despite all the economic advantages India holds, it still hasn't been able to overpower a nation with far fewer resources.

Not just the economic advantages, but india is also more than 7× bigger than Pakistan and has the FULL backing of america, the west, israel and russia.

indians have pretty much stopped talking about their military defeat to Pakistan in May 2025. Majority of them are not even trying to argue against their defeat. All indians are doing now is saying Pakistan is bankrupt, india is the 3rd or 4th biggest economy in the world and Pakistan lost the 1971 war. Just news from 54 years ago, nothing else.

India’s Congress party President Mallikarjun Kharge has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government had “misled the nation”, amid a furore about the now-acknowledged aircraft losses to Pakistan during the recent conflict.

The remarks come a day after India’s top general confirmed that his country’s fighter jets were downed by Pakistan but did not specify a number. That admission followed a statement by Subrahmanyam Swamy, a member of Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but a staunch critic of the Indian premier, that Pakistan had downed five Indian planes.

“The Modi govt has misled the nation. The fog of war is now clearing,” Kharge wrote in a post on X.
