The Pakistani establishment (military and financial oligarchs) have to realize that China is willing to support them if they get their acts together; roll back the corruption and let industries and institutions flourish again to be able to challenge India on all fronts. The military domain is not enough o adequately challenge India, it only is a blocking force, holding India down, not going for the decisive moves.

Furthermore, the state officials and business community needs to understand the comprehensive support Chinese industry can give to Pakistan to leapfrog to modern standards. If Pakistan were to operate at modern levels it would naturally produce more for the same inputs and therefore the state could earn more tax while producers would be paying less tax per unit produced. Higher profits and higher taxes. Allowing all to prosper, higher salaries for civil servants and more opportunities (domestically and internationally) for the business class and their families.

This is not to mention Pakistan being able to afford more arms and taking its rightful place in the geo-strategic balance of the region and the world.

So a big lesson of this war is China is willing to help Pakistan if Pakistan is ready to help itself.

More surprising should be that in those two days Pakistan's airforce could not take any advantage. It was perfect time to hit all the Indian airbases in absence of CAP.

That was the time to press a quick and strong counter attack. I remember in that old thread Pakistanis were getting crazy with lack of any declared action in those two days.

It must have been a political decision that the war could be neutralized without escalating to that point. Although in hind sight, at least a small foray of PGMs should have hit symbolic targets in an around Delhi and Noida, to send the right signals.

Indians should only try to absorb this one fact that Indians utilized their best equipment: Rafales, S-400, Brahmos.

Pakistan mostly relied on JF-17s and Fatah missiles. The one time it used J-10C, 3 Rafales bit the dust. The one time it used C-400, the S400 got taken out.. In the next two days of utter humiliation, India resorted on using Brahmos. Every 2 of the 3 Brahmos fired by Indians were intercepted, contrary to the claims that no system can intercept the mighty Brahmos.

Imagine what was not used by Pakistan, Ghauri, Babur, Ghaznavi and Shaheen Series. Had we used any of them, Indians would've been crying on other things too.

Pakistan has to worry about our supply lines and pockets.....we have to provide propotional response..... Punch for a punch....I know IAF was grounded for two days and it was an open invitation but we must also worry about the next level escalation and then the ladder rises very quickly.

Plus it could be a trap as well....India has very formidable anti airfract arsenal.....grounding the planes meant invitation to come and face huge arsenal of SAMs where we are guaranteed to loose many planes.

Why fall for that trap? If the purpose was to teach lesson to Indians then 4-6 planes downing was enough.......rest is all political posturing.

I believe PAF did remarkably well......and as I stated before I have a lot of repsect for IAF and their pilots but their leadership is a complete disaster and on top of that the political interference is a complete disaster for any professional arm of forces.

This whole operation was a political drama and IAF ended up destroying their reputation and standing....for what and who???? MODI and this RSS trash???

they should have recommended few Brahmos strikes and call it a day but MODI for his own political shit show wanted 70 planes fly and have Rafael lead and trash Pakistan.....

Impressed with the emerging Indian narrative that now says that “yes PAF handed our butt to us and grounded our Air Force for two days but we quickly learned our lessons and were back on air on May 10th.”

The fact of the matter remains that IAF never recovered. This “back in business in two days” crap is total nonsense. A failed attempt at coping mechanism. Once the ceasefire talks were initiated, at the request of India per CNN, India launched thousands of drones and missiles into Pakistan. Some Rafales launched scalp cruise missiles from extreme ranges and were intercepted and the images of these interceptions are well known by now.

Even their military chief admitted that the IAF operated from extreme ranges on May 10 to avoid the wrath of PAF. This is why PAF were flying over Srinagar on May 10th with nothing to stop them, a fact admitted by the Indians themselves.

The fixation of few hits on PAF runways and hangar has to be exaggerated to equalize the loss of 6+1 plane loss by India. It serves no other purpose. The whole world knows it and the Indians know it too.
