make of it, whatever you will.

I think Its just Pressure Tactic. In future it will be 50-50 Shared .India Can't stop water .It's not feasible .

Good now the Chinese will choke them. Gau talked about this.

Should Pakistan and India look to mutually review The indus water treaty?

Surely there is a space where just being responsible neighbours outweighs any mutual hostility?

If you agree to enter a mutual review, emphasis on mutual review, it removes the space for unilateral action I think

They're not going to mutually review $hit bro, they think they're in control. So you need to work on that basis and talk to the boss who is really in control, Chinese homies. Anyway, enough of this water stuff on this thread.

To be honest I don't really know enough to comment meaningfully, in principle a mutual sensible accommodation on something like water would be nice but probably too idealistic.

I'll send you the links where there was extensive exchange between myself and Indian posters and lots of information put up.

You should be more concerned about what China will do with yours.
Hope Modi can restore all the water taken from Tibetan sources. Cheers.
What China will do anyway?
The Brahmaputra river in India is rain feed up 70% in India. So China can't chock much water to hurt in India.

Also any attempt to stop water of Brahmaputra river would have vey damaging effect on Bangladesh whose far more population is dependent on it compared to India.

Pakistan's government has determined that there is no need for negotiating any terms of the treaty.

Negotiating under duress of war is not something Iran is doing and they are struggling. Why do you think Pakistan should?

Had India paid value to it, they would have asked the mediating authority politely. IWT is not a bilateral treaty.

Pakistan has an inbuilt hostility towards India, says EAM Dr S Jaishankar

No absolutely I made the point at the time, using it as a punitive measure or under enforced duress attempted, is a full toss that needs to be smashed out around

As waz said, off topic, I was just throwing a notion out there that could benefit Pakistan, well even the region

Yes it will happen in due course both countries will share water.currently there is too much rhetoric on both sides. Its such a shame Asia has all the oil,Natural resources,Culture Still West uses divide and rule to rule the world

I find it interesting india and Pak keep fighting using Chinese and Western weapons proving to be testing ground where as Chinese did not condemn india when india attacked pak nor did usa condemn pakistan for allegedly terror attack. Both Nations need to rethink they are being played in this geopolitical game.

Well that's all good and well, it's a nice post-hoc theory, who came up with operation sindor and insisted in keeping it going
