Where will the money for 16 new planes come from ? Is Trump ready to arrange an Import-Export bank loan like Dubya did with the 777's in the 2000s ?

Fouji Foundation wants to improve the PIA business (for their own interests), therefore hired an Ex Ethopian Airline CEO and removed the existing Incompetent Fouji General because they have now purchased the PIA and doesn't want to ruin their business anymore.

The Fauji Foundation itself has many field experts in top positions. A primary reason why it is in profits (besides some subsidies).

See the board of directors.. All are civilians. Fauji Foundation was in huge losses for years even when they had no competition. They needed experts. Unfortunately, those are civvie.

The army can just cut the red tape and provide security. It can't do anything else. Even Suparco, AWC, etc have many civilians, who here given the right opportunities/tools do wonder.

Even putting army personnel in an underfunded and controlled civilian setup cannot give any yield. For example, martial law. Army...

Just saying Mohsin Naqvi is an interior minister and not a foreign minister, and nowhere belonged to PIA.
However, he is present in PIA executive management and Boeing representatives meeting, including the President of Boeing.
This is not good for the portfolio.

Canada, Saudi Arabia and Europe/UK would be good served with newer 787s.

Airbus A320s are already great for regional and short hops.

777X is longer ranged and more passengers then 787 so may also be an option
