Kashmir is a territorial dispute and water is a survival threat.

The world knows we have the capability of getting our rightful resources by sword if needed.

Unlike indians, we are being civilized and taking up this manner in a very professional way, so no other downstream country feels threatened in future.

Why is nobody in Pakistan talking about that soan dam ? That one dam can store 35 MAF of flood water. All the current dams and reservoirs give pakistan only 13.2 MAF of live storage. This one dam will increase our warer storage capacity by 300%

For 2 years, just spend whole of your PSDP fund on this dam and just build it. You will never see dried indus after that.

Pakistan stopped building dams in 1970s and since then the population has gone up 4 times

As of today Indus River system averages 160 MAF of water , which is lower than the 168 MAF which it used to average in 1960s

However during peek summer months of April may June, this flow goes down to less than 150 MAF, due to lack of rains . In monsoon season during July August September this flow rises to 180 MAF , which causes widespread flooding from Kashmir to Sind

India can at max hold 42 MAF of Indus water .
So Pakistan is still receiving 110 MAF of water and they only have themselves to blame that they can only store 13-17 MAF of this water

Indus water treaty is war prevention treaty.

Five years after signing the treaty Pakistan mounted an invasion on Jammu and Kashmir. So much for "preventing war".
