Pakistan is getting dry

Call it what you want.
It's fait acomplai.
Doesn't matter what you or I "want" to call it.

There is objective truth and there is everything else.

It is objectively true that India broke the terms of a treaty it willingly signed and ratified, without any coercion, under the mediation of The World Bank.

I trust you will refer to the act in such terms from now on, rather than misleading the readership of this trusted forum with obfuscation like "it is gone".

Pakistan’s power structure has turned stupidity into a governing philosophy. The establishment props up corrupt governments, watches them launder public money, and then pretends to be shocked when nothing gets built, not dams, not storage systems, not even the basic infrastructure needed to keep the country alive. It’s a cycle of incompetence so deep that it feels intentional.

Pakistan should already have 1,500 dams, large, medium, and small, spread across the country to store water, support agriculture, and protect communities. This isn’t some ambitious dream; it’s the bare minimum for a nation that depends on the Indus Basin for survival. But instead of building, planning, or even thinking long‑term, the ruling elite has spent decades looting project budgets, inflating costs, and turning development into a money‑laundering pipeline.

And then comes the part that truly exposes the rot: whenever India builds dams or restricts water flow under the Indus Waters Treaty, our politicians don’t respond with engineering plans or diplomatic strategy. They don’t talk about building Pakistan’s own water security. No, they jump straight to childish threats like, “We will destroy Indian dams.”

Destroy what?
You can’t even build your own.

This is the political mindset that has dragged Pakistan into a water crisis. India builds infrastructure. Pakistan builds press conferences. India secures its future. Pakistan’s leaders secure their bank accounts.

The truth is brutal….
Pakistan doesn’t suffer from a water shortage, it suffers from a leadership shortage.
Until the establishment stops manufacturing puppets and starts building dams, Pakistan will remain stuck in the same cycle of incompetence, dependency, and national vulnerability.

India will not be allowed to build tunnel on Chenab.

The treaty was simple. India couldn't take much water from 3 western rivers so they were happy to take full control of 3 eastern rivers.

Now they can't just have full control on 3 eastern rivers and plan to steal water from 3 western rivers. World will side with Pakistan and if that doesn't deter India then nukes will.

Firstly the treaty is gone.

Secondly even if it were not. As per the treaty india is allowed to store 3.5 MAF water on the western rivers.

Thirdly the tunnel being built will only be able transfer maximum 0.9 - 1.5 MAF water.

For 60 years every single time India proposed project on the western rivers. Pakistan used to drag India through decades of litigation, arbitrations, neutral experts.

Pakistan always ended up loosing as it did on Baghliar and Kishenganga projects.

It was a smart delay tactic, that Pakistan used to its advantage to slow any development in Jammu Kashmir region.

With IWT now gone, that is not gonna happen again.

I just hope India ask all foreigners to leave immediately if they begin work on tunnel to steal Pakistan water.

Tell me genius how Pakistan building dams will solve India diverting Pakistan rivers water? There is a reason we have made our stance clear before the world.

*India has broken the terms of the treaty, NOT "treaty ijj gaan saar!".

Why so bothered by this admission of simple fact?

I have not been following this thread much. From browsing Pakistan's channels, it doesn't seem like Pakistanis are too worried about it. The drastic solution per Pakistanis would be to literally blow up any Indian infra which would impact the amount of water Pakistan should get. One Pakistani analyst even saying that Pakistan and India should renegotiate the IWT based on Climate Change factors to come to better solutions.
Also saw a video today of Danish experts with Pakistani experts about using the increasing flooding in Pakistan to mitigate the water stress facing Pakistan.

As to the Indians here chest thumping about diverting the water to India's Rajasthan: Shame on you for being apparently so educated and obviously so cruel. I hope you don't represent the majority of India. You are barely functioning, overpopulated nation and that's why what to steal Pakistan's water. So much like the Israelis' Lebensraum!

There is nothing to negotiate unless India is also willing to give up its right on 3 eastern rivers. Otherwise there is no point.

Pakistan will not mind getting more water from eastern rivers. Problem is India doesn't have much use of 3 western rivers apart from stealing Pakistan share.

Are you are guys going to stand out in the sun again every year for 30 min..from 12 to 12:30 PM..till the treaty restored?

There will be a bright light, yes. Will only last a minute though. There won't be anything to "restore" after that.
