Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Friday signed an agreement to extend a $3 billion deposit from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).

Saudi Arabia, earlier this week, pledged an additional $3 billion in deposits for Pakistan and extended its existing $5bn facility for a further three years.

“The agreement, signed between the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), provides for the extension in the maturity of a USD 3 billion deposit placed by SFD with the State Bank of Pakistan,” said a post on X by the Ministry of Finance.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday held a bilateral meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, his office said.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, and senior officials from both countries, including Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

During the cordial discussion, President Erdogan welcomed Prime Minister Sharif and commended Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for regional peace.

These meetings are not the usual diplomatic do's. The participants are discussing a new post war security architecture for the Mideast where there is more involvement by them and less by the US. So it's about gradually replacing the US presence, which has proven hugely destabilizing.

I would Say Iran is more aligned to Pak, Saudi, Qatar, Turkiye and if it had not been for this war, we would have been speaking about the "Pak, Saudi, Qatar, Turkiye, Iran" block (imho).

Only Turkiye was willing to help you in your war with India. But your brothers and great friends in the middle east did nothing.:ROFLMAO:

only Pakistan and Turkiye have battle-hardened military force and weaponry, and the brothers help each other. If God-forbid Turkiye is attacked, we expect Pakistan to stand with Turkiye in its hour of need.
Was there ever a doubt on this?

Point I was making is Pakistanis have other favourites and yet only Turkiye is actually willing to help.
But Indians have a crazy weird obsession with us Turks, so even if Pakistan makes friend with india we'd never be their "friend".
