Pakistan Air Force Flypast, March 1978.
The head of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Zulfiqar Ali Khan, led the flypast in a French-built Mirage fighter-bomber.
This was followed by formations of Cessna T-37 Tweet (Tweety Bird) trainers and Chinese-built FT-5 light fighters/trainers, which are clearly visible in the footage.
No Shenyang F-6 fighters appear in the actual film.
Although the commentary refers to “American F-6s” after the FT-5s, this is almost certainly an error in the original report: the F-6 is a Chinese-built MiG-19 variant (not American), and those aircraft are not shown here. It is possible the commentator briefly mistook the T-37s for F-6s, even though the two types look quite different.
