Loved this. This is the right way to promote Pakistan, our cricket and our armed forces to a global audiences. Well done PN!

Seems likely, but my point was the offensive capability - "Exocet Missiles" which have been retired by PN.
Is it only the air launched exocets that were retired? Because im pretty sure Agostas still use them.

Agostas do, and more.
It was the air launch capability replacement that I was interested in.

Harpoon has taken on this role via P-3C, was sure the two older Agostas were able to fire sub launched Harpoon too, or maybe it was the retired Daphnes?

New Chinese anti-ship missiles are designed to fight US Navy, so am assuming that with JF-17s, Sea Sultans and Hangor Subs retiring all versions of Exocet and Harpoon will not be an issue

Now we should put faith in SMASH.

SMASH is surface launched. Not sure if it will have an air launched version as of yet. Likely Harbah or Taimur/Raad will fill that role for now.

While P-3C/sea sultan may be a good start for land based air launched weapons, i think having an air launched capability off of a frigate deck via the helicopter is a great force multiplier. An air launched Taimur or even C-802A/Atmaca would be very helpful for PN off their choppers and would allow PN to still keep their choppers at a safe range vs IN sams

Agreed, been saying this for years on this forum, it is criminal PN have been buying all these new ships and we only have 6-7 old Z-9Cs to operate with 18 major surface vessels, and even then they may not be able to integrate with western systems on Babur/Yarmook. PN has seriously neglected onboard aircraft capability.

Aloutte 3 is retired, Sea King is ancient and too big for many ships, Z-9C old and limited in number, while we literally spent tens of billions on new ships!?

Couldn't agree more.

Just rumors, so don't quote me on it, but there was a foreign customer interested in a good number of Z-20J back in Nov at the Zuhai Air Show.
Just a guess who could want a good number, but no updates after that.
