FM90 ER certainly looks to be upgraded version of original FM90 perhaps enhanced range may be 20 KM+, more maneuverability and accuracy, further PN now should go for limited number of destroyers with LRSAM high energy based next generation weapons. The PN ships may operationally be more effective with one destroyer along with 1-2 Tughril Class frigates along with corvettes or F22P frigates.

Don't think so. China has ditched this system already for better systems. Two of earliest Type-54s of PLAN had this system but they replaced those with HHQ10. These earliest version of 054 had no VLS. So China doing upgrade for their obsolete system is unlikely.

As far PN doing their own upgrade is also unlikely. We never heard any such news. Even in this PR, we didn't heard any news if that missile is locally upgraded.

I think its a same missile. It was just a regular test for operational readiness of the fleet.

Explains why we needed a training sub from China. Looks like we may well be getting all 4 Chinese made Hangors at the same time. If you are realistically looking at two crews per boat we may well need around 400 trained submariners

Incredible production speed. Now all 4 Chinese build are in sea trials. right? Or there is any Pakistani build in the waters as well?

The news report stated all 4 are now undergoing sea trials
The launching to commissioning cycles for these submarines is 2 years. So the submarines launched in 2025 will only enter service in 2027. Sea trials are usually only a few months at best.

I understand that, but report stated all 4 are undergoing sea trials. Make of that what you will.

This photo proves that the news report you saw was incorrect.

===========================================

These are photos from the launching ceremonies of the other three submarines. You should be able to identify them.
