@Ak01 wouldn't weight of the SMASH/P282 be issue for the OPV 2600s since they are built to commercial standards?

What's the point of developing SMASH when PN surface fleet can't take on IN surface fleet

Even with the SMASH it will be difficult , The main motive was probably that IN vessels lack ABM on its ships so which would create the fear of losing a ship or getting hit from a smaller enemy and wont bring them closer to our areas thus enabling A2AD . Or maybe just to give PN a good system so they dont get depressed over the thought of having only old harpoons and exocets.

Pakistan navy is doing a good job by inducting latest warships but why in whole pakistan only one karachi shipyard is present for making warships why other shipyards are not developed??

India has 6 govt backed shipyards which are now steadying the delivery of warships.
Indian navy has an average of inducting 5 warships per year with these 6 shipyards if this average continues india will be inducting 25 warships in 5 years and that is a whole pakistan navy in 5 yrs inducted.

WHy pakistan is not developing more shipyards??
Karachi shipyard was present before independence .
Ill placed priorities. Incompetence. Corruption. Self sabotage. It could be a lot of factors in play, maybe even all of them.

Because then once those 10 or 20 ships are built, what happens?

Whos going to pay for the jobs of the guys there?

etc etc, PN does not itself have the ability to sustain multiple yards. KSEW works as a single yard because the order book from the PN is small, thus, it can be dripfed with orders to ensure that KSEW always has work.

Imagine having multiple shipyards where the orders are sped through, then what do they do?

Plus, PN cant afford to pay for so many ships at once etc.

Its not corruption, incompetence or self sabotage, rather, just logic

Basically this As far as we know PN has no plans for surface ships beyond the JCF, most of the goals set in the previous decade have been reached already, if a second shipyard Is built PN will be stuck drip feeding orders of maybe 4 ships between 2 ship yards.

Shipyards can build commercial ships too.
IF run properly they can generate massive revenue there are many private shipyards which run on commercial orders.
HAving one shipyard for everything is a recipe for disaster .
Sometimes logistics play a key role in winning the war no matter how many vessels you have.
Or there is some else doctrine PN is following??

How many commercial ships has KSEW built in the last 20 years? Its a very difficult market dominated by Chinese South Korean and Japanese shipyards who are practically impossible against, their only customer might be PNSC but how many ships do you think they can buy?

Then the whole offensive of pn navy will depend on agosta 90b and hangoor.
AGosta 70 is too old to count as effective and by the time last hangoor will come it will be retired.
11 subs offensive is still good as india will only have 18 subs by that time.

HUnting pakistani subs wont be easy in arabian sea p8is with rafale escorts will be the first deployement indian navy will go for hmmm interesting.

Rafale Ms are gonna take more then a decade to come or even more.
Per my understanding Indian navy wont come close to our ranges and will resort to long range Land attack strikes from brahmos..

AFAIK they planned to be delivered in 2028-29, but operating from a STOBAR carrier means they have far more limited range since they can't take off with full fuel and Weapons

The Baloch keep destroying everything built on Balochistan coast .
There's Iranian involvement as they feel threatened due to Pakistan becoming a major sea port services provider.

MIg29k is also good enough against maritime jf17 and mirage 3 .
J 10 and f16 will have hands full in north sector.
ANd by the time all hangoor subs will come rafales will be in air.

MIG-29K is good enough against a JF-17C? Are you actually on crack?
