good to see the numbers

PN has 3 x ATR for Maritime patrol but 2 more can be converted and I think those 2 ones are more younger age than the 3 that were converted in Germany

the 10 x Sea Sultans will definitely give Pakistan a good ASW capability

The Sea Sultans will be an excellent addition if they can keep the programme on track, 10 units will give a lot of cover and persistence. I do wonder(and hope) that the PAF can use the same platform to build a home-grown AEW&C platform, having platform commonality for lower training, maintenance and operational costs.

we need a modern medium lift helicopter although the Sea King is soldiering on and we have them in good numbers too

I suspect Pakistan is waiting for the Turkish options to mature and be available. They seem to be in no rush to replace them right now having picked up some second hand units from Qatar.

Z9C really needs to be replaced I think its rubbish

I imagine that the PN will burn through its airframe lifespan quickly(similar low lifespans like we see in the JF17s) and then pick up a Turkish solution once that is avialable. Pakistan still has not replaced the Cobra's, preferring for the Turkish platforms to be available even though WZ-10 chinese platform is available now.

Pakistan Navy is conducting Exercise Sea Guard 2025 Edition II from 24th to 28th of this month.

The Exercise is being conducted to evaluate the existing security procedures through all stakeholders in Pakistan's maritime region.

In his special message on the occasion of Exercise Sea Guard 2025, Commander Coast, Rear Admiral Faisal Amin has said that Pakistan's coastal belt, spanning over a thousand kilometers, is enriched with invaluable natural resources.

He said along with these natural resources, various maritime challenges also arise, including illegal fishing, narcotics smuggling, human trafficking, and climate change.

In 2013, the Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Center was established to provide a platform for all stakeholders in the maritime domain.

Rear Admiral Faisal Amin said more than fifty stakeholders participated in the Exercise Sea Guard 2024 which is a testament to their trust in the Pakistan Navy's efforts toward the shared objective of maritime security.

He said this exercise will serve as a milestone in enhancing joint operational capabilities and addressing emerging challenges to maritime security.

Pakistan’s Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) is the core of the country's Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) strategy.

Established in 2013, it serves as a vital platform for info-sharing & inter-agency coordination for maritime incidents within Pakistan’s EEZ.

Under the Joint Maritime Information Organization Act of 2019, JMICC operates across six key domains, including maritime terrorism, piracy, organized maritime crime, illegal exploitation of resources, marine pollution, and search & rescue.
