Get 2 destroyers for Air defence, build Ukraine style sea drones some with AA missiles strapped to them for forward ops keep your ships always under aircraft cover use sea drones for attacking shipping lines once we get 8 hangor and 3 90bs we have use 90bs to secure coast whole hangors hunt isolated ships buy 3 Type41 mini nuclear submarine with stealth cruise missiles for second strike and submarine hunting. This is very hard to defeat
 
PNS HUNAIN visited Muscat, Oman during Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP). Upon arrival, ship was warmly welcomed by Omani authorities. PNS HUNAIN & Oman Navy Ship RNOV KHASSAB carried out PASSEX in Gulf of Oman, reinforcing enduring Naval partnership b/w 2 countries.

Ex aimed to strengthen maritime coop & enhance interoperability b/w two navies. During port stay, CO of PNS HUNAIN called on senior leadership of Oman Navy. Matters of mutual interest, N2N engagements & cooperation in maritime security were discussed.

I would politely disagree with such assessment.

What modern destroyers (think burke or type 052DE) offers over what Pakistan already got is long range air defence capability. Compared to area air defence, the main difference is that long range air defence is primarily focused on deterring aerial launch platforms carrying stand-off munitions, while area air defence is focused on providing interception against incoming munitions at intermediate ranges.

The modern Indian standoff munition family is entirely reliant upon the Kh-61 platform, which, while their air-breathing nature makes them inevitably easier to intercept as they need to cruise at substantial altitude to achieve any sort of respectable range, does mean their launch platforms (Su-30MKI for example) can remain relatively safe outside typical long range air defence bubbles, which means the tactical values offered by purchasing destroyers are very limited given the circumstances of the Pakistani Navy.

The Ukrainian drone boat with AAMs is only suitable for the specific circumstance of the littoral waters of the black sea I would say. AAMs like R-73s repurposed to launch from the surface don't really offer any meaningful range after the initial surprise, and I would imagine the drone boat's limited seaworthiness would greatly limited their usefulness in the Indian ocean except for some sort of littoral resistance.

I do agree with your assessment in procuring submarines though. Indian armed forces so far does not possess substantial capabilities to hunt submarines, notably very limited in modern maritime patrol aircraft and effective surface ASW combatants. All the while Pakistan's largest defence collaborators, both China and Turkey, have all achieved recent breakthroughs and have cost-effect solutions that could be offered.

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi to inquire about the well-being of soldiers and civilians injured during Operation Bunyanum-Marsoos.

During the visit, the Naval Chief personally interacted with each injured individual and paid tribute to their unwavering bravery, indomitable spirit, and steadfast commitment to duty.

While speaking with the injured, Admiral Naveed Ashraf emphasized the unified resolve of the nation and the armed forces, affirming that any future misadventure by the adversary will be met with the same determination and vigour.

PN Submarine fleet is it's "cutting edge " the 8-boat Chinese order for S-20 (039) needs to be excellerated.

I am surprised that no one has written anything about it---maybe they don't know the capabilities of the pakistani type 054"s.

Pakistan Navy participated in Annual Maritime Security Conference 2025, organized by Combined Maritime Forces from 12-14 May at Bahrain. PN was represented by Commander Combined Task Force 151 (CCTF-151), Cdre Sohail Ahmed Azmie.

Representatives from 46 CMF partner Nations attended the conference.

Pakistan Navy's participation in the conference reflects its dedication to collaborative efforts in maintaining maritime security and stability in the region.
 
Convocation of 54th PN Staff Course was held at PNWC, Lhr. CNS Adm Naveed Ashraf graced the event as CG. Degrees were conferred upon 118 graduates, incl 74 officers from PN, Pak Army, PAF & 44 officers from friendly countries. Naval Chief congratulated the graduating officers.

CNS highlighted imp of understanding modern warfare &maritime threats & emphasized transformation in warfare marked by asymmetrical conflicts &growing influence of non-state actors & stressed need for traditional military strategies to evolve in response to complex challenges.

CNS noted that IOR remains fluid & contested, with new geopolitical realignments & ongoing power rivalries impacting regional security environment. Referring to recent 4-day crisis b/w India-Pak, he remarked that it stands as testimony to the changing nature of warfare.

PN doing a great job for Pak internationally. Not many military schools have a third of their intake from foreign countries

The Convocation Ceremony of 54th Pakistan Navy Staff Course was held at Pakistan Navy War College Lahore today.

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the chief guest on the occasion.

During the ceremony, degrees were conferred upon one hundred and eighteen graduates including forty four officers from friendly countries.

These countries included Bahrain, Bangladesh, Türkiye, China, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Yemen, and the UAE.
