PNS Tughril, the first frigate of Tughril Class (Type-054A/P) will reach Pakistan in December 2021.
Currently Tughril is in Sri Lanka ..

Pakistan Navy and Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) participated in bilateral naval Exercise THAMAR AL TAYYIB 2021 (TAT-21) in North Arabian Sea.


The Naval exercise included participation of Surface & air units beside Naval Special Operations Forces from both navies.

The Omani Navy Task Group comprised of RNO ships AL DHAFERAH and AL SEEB. Whereas Maritime Patrol Aircraft of Royal Air Force of Oman also participated in the exercise.

During Harbour Phase of the exercise, operational and tactical level discussions and Pre Exercise Conferences were conducted. Commanding officers of visiting RNO ships called on Commander Pakistan Fleet and Commander Coast; wherein, matters of mutual interests were discussed and enhancement of bilateral ties in all spheres was re-affirmed. The Commanding Officers of visiting RNO ships also extended gratitude for the whole-hearted support provided by Pakistan Navy for conduct of Exercise THAMAR AL TAYYIB 2021.

Sea phase of the exercise comprised counter terrorism, Anti-Air and Anti-Surface Warfare Operations with an overall aim to curb illicit activities at sea.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi also visited RNO ships and interacted with officers and men onboard.

Exercise TAT-21 provided an avenue of mutual learning and inter-operability and opportunity for both navies to further hone their professional skills. Exercises between the two Navies are regularly being conducted since 1990. Last exercise of the TAT series was conducted in Omani waters in 2019.

Regular conduct of bilateral Naval exercise between Pakistan Navy and Royal Navy of Oman are indicative of long standing brotherly relations between two countries in general and both navies in particular.
 
That’s the 10th WS-61 Sea King (Serial numbers 50-59) that was acquired from #Qatar.

All 10 were delivered July this year, procured in order to increase the Navy WS-61 fleet’s airborne troop carrying and anti-surface warfare capacity.

United States and Pakistan navies conducted a passing exercise Nov. 11 2021. Pakistani ships PNS Tabuk & PNS Azmat sailed with USS Pearl Harbor in Gulf of Oman. Longstanding cooperation between our navies is built on shared commitment to safeguarding the seas & maintaining regional security & stability.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi is on official visit to Kuwait.

During the visit, the Naval Chief called on Deputy Director of General Directorate for Coast Guard Brigadier General Saleh Al-Fojeri, Under Secretary National Guard Lieutenant General Hashem Abdul Razzaq Al-Rifai, H.E Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah and Commander Kuwait Naval Forces Brigadier General Hazza Al-Alati, separately.
Upon arrival at Sabah Al-Ahmad Naval Base, Chief of the Naval Staff was received by Deputy Director of General Directorate for Coast Guard and a ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the Naval Chief.
During the meeting with Deputy Director of General Directorate for Coast Guard Brigadier General Saleh Al-Fojeri, regional maritime security and professional matters of mutual interest were discussed. Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan Navy’s efforts and various initiatives for ensuring maritime security in the region. Deputy Director of General Directorate for Coast Guard appreciated Pakistan Navy’s initiatives in support of collaborative maritime security in the region and acknowledged significance of strong bilateral naval collaboration.
Earlier, during separate meetings with Under Secretary National Guard at National Guard Headquarters and Chief of General Staff of Kuwait Armed Forces at Army General Staff Headquarters, professional matters of mutual interest including bilateral defence collaboration were deliberated. The dignitaries, while acknowledging the significance of strong bilateral military cooperation in diverse realms, stressed on enhancing collaborations in expanded military domains.
Later, during the visit of Muhammad Al-Ahmad Naval Base, Chief of the Naval Staff called on Commander Kuwait Naval Forces Brigadier General Hazza Al-Alati. Both the dignitaries discussed the matters of mutual naval collaboration including Regional Maritime Security Patrols and participation in Combined Maritime Forces (CMF). The Commander of Kuwait Naval Forces lauded the significant efforts of Pakistan Navy in the realm of maritime security in the region. The Naval Chief was also given operational briefing regarding operational capabilities of Kuwaiti Naval Forces.
It is expected that visit of the Naval Chief will further boost and expand defence ties between the two countries in general and navies in particular.

Pakistan Navy Ship ALAMGIR visited AKSAZ Naval Base, Turkey and participated in Multinational Exercise DOGU AKDENIZ-21 conducted in Mediterranean Sea. Vice Admiral Zahid Ilyas represented Pakistan Navy in Multinational Exercise.

Upon arrival at port, the ship was received by Naval Attaché of Pakistan at Ankara, Commander of 2nd Turkish Destroyer Squadron and officials from Turkish Navy. During the port stay, Mission Commander Commodore Azhar Mahmood along with Commanding Officer PNS ALAMGIR called on Turkish Navy high ranking officials including Commander Turkish Maritime Forces. During the interactions, matters of mutual interest were discussed and contribution of Pakistan Navy to regional peace and maritime security were acknowledged by the host naval dignitaries. The Mission Commander conveyed well wishes from Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi for the people of Turkey in general and Turkish Navy in particular.

The visit of PNS ALAMGIR comprised harbour and sea phases. During harbour phase table top discussions on professional matters and bilateral interactions were held. Whereas, sea phase included participation in Multinational Maritime Exercise DOGU AKDENIZ-21 that included wide range of naval drills and operations. The Exercise provided Pakistan Navy an opportunity to enhance combat readiness in multi-threat milieu and interoperability with the world navies.

Pakistan Navy has always remained committed in playing its role in ensuring maritime safety and security in the region. Participation of Pakistan Navy in exercise DOGU AKDENIZ-21 is aimed at ensuring safety and security of global commons. Upon culmination of port visit, PNS ALAMGIR participated in Joint Patrol and bilateral exercise TURGUTREIS-VI with Turkish Navy ships. Various tactical evolutions were undertaken including simulated missile engagement drills, Seamanship exercises and Helo Operations.

PNS ALAMGIR visit to Turkey and joint naval drills is a testimony of PN resolve to work towards regional peace and it may further strengthen mutual collaboration between the two navies.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES :....The lead ship of the Tughril class of guided missile & air defence frigates of the Pakistan Navy , PNS Tughril arrived in the Philippines on a two-day port of call and goodwill visit.

PNS Tughril’s captain and crew were received by Dty Asst Chief of Naval Staff of the Philippines Navy, Captain Emilo G Orio Jr.

Pakistan Navy Ship ALAMGIR visited Port of Algiers, Algeria as part of Overseas Deployment. On arrival nearing the port, Pakistan Navy Ship was welcomed by Algerian Navy Ship and warmly received by Defence Attaché of Pakistan at Algeria along with Algerian naval officials.

ARABIAN SEA
COAST OFF KARACHI

Deutsche Marine Frigate FGS Bayern and the Pakistan Navy Frigate PNS Aslat and a Yarmook Class Corvette conducted exercises in the Arabian Sea. FGS Bayern is completing a port call in Pakistan and was stationed at Karachi for 5 days.

Exercise Cormorant Strike 2021’


11th multinational ‘Exercise Cormorant Strike 2021’ concluded at Colombo, Sri Lanka. Pakistan Navy's Special Service Group (SSG) participated in multinational exercise conducted under the auspices of Sri Lankan Army at Infantry Training Center Minneriya.

Exercise Director, Commander Reserve Strike Corps Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, welcomed the Special Operations Forces of all regional participating countries that include Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Nepal.

The exercise was exclusively designed to exchange professional expertise in ‘Special Operations Forces' (SOF) domain. The aim of the exercise was to build synergy, strengthen military relationships and enhance interoperability among Special Operation Forces of participating countries. The Multinational Exercise focused operations included anti-terrorism operations, disaster relief reconnaissance missions, riverine operations and counter-terrorism in maritime domain.

Professional experience gained during multinational exercise will be rewarding in conduct of joint operations against common threats and will augment cooperation among participating countries.
