Bahi these posts make you seem non serious. Please dont post silly things like this. :)

You got lucky. We encountered Pakistani beggars outside Kaaba mosque, Ghar-e-Saur, Ghar-e-Hira, and even the fully-employed Pakistani sweepers at the hotels we stayed were begging us to give them some money. 🙁

During my Umrah visit some time back, I encountered Pakistanis working at all levels in Saudi Arabia, from labor to office work to high positions as well. The bulk of them are manual labor. The impression I got was that the Pakistanis were hard working and didnt cause trouble. I also saw few Pakistani beggars which was very disappointing.

If Saudis are going to hire more Pakistani labor to meet their shortages, I think that is a positive. Yes Saudi and GCC never give citizenship or rights to expat labor but Pakistanis dont have any choices. Not everyone can afford a visa to go to West.

Pakistani govt needs to improve the level of the people it sends abroad. Skilled labor like electrician or carpenter are what Saudi really needs for its construction projects, not just manual labor.
Exactly, the workforce being sent should be value-add and not the 30 year old profile of a laborer.
Pakistan needs to invest in vocational training so people are better prepared for higher-skill/higher-paying jobs in KSA and Gulf in general.

Can I just add one of my favourites of Imran Khan.
The ones destroying Pakistan's image are IK's supporters.
When supporters of Imran Khan criticize country’s PM for making fun of himself on the world stage, is it "destroying" Pakistan’s image? Here is one such incident which occurred in Malaysia only recently:

High-level Saudi business delegation arrives in Pakistan to discuss trade, investment, and collaboration: FO

Dawn.com
October 7, 2025

A high-level business delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by the Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, has arrived in Islamabad, the Foreign Office (FO) said today.

According to an FO statement, Prince Mansour and his accompanying delegation will “hold meetings with the Pakistani leadership and engage with senior government officials, chambers of commerce and leading business groups to explore avenues for enhanced bilateral trade and investment cooperation.”

It added that the visit underscored the deep-rooted and brotherly ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reflecting their shared commitment to expanding economic and investment partnerships under the framework of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council.

“Discussions during the visit are expected to focus on trade/investment facilitation and collaboration across priority sectors aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s economic growth agenda,” it added.

The federal cabinet has ratified the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. On this occasion, the cabinet members paid tribute to the leadership of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired the meeting during which he informed the members in detail about his official visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Nations General Assembly and Malaysia.

The federal cabinet approved the donation of 15 unflyable aircraft (8 Cessna and 7 Fletcher) of the Plant Protection Department to various institutions for educational, commemorative or exhibition purposes.

Interesting take........

Security For Saudi, Economic Stability For Pakistan: Details Of The Defence Agreement | Exclusive

While Pakistan will deploy 25,000 troops in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh will invest $10 billion in Islamabad.

The strategic mutual defence agreement signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia aims to ensure security stability for Saudi Arabia while fostering economic stability for Pakistan, a top source has told CNN-News18.

A top defence official who witnessed the drafting of the Pakistan-Saudi Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement has provided exclusive details of the agreement.

As part of the agreement, Pakistan will deploy substantial military forces in the Arabian Peninsula to protect Saudi Arabia from any aggression. In return, Saudi Arabia’s significant financial investment will bolster Pakistan’s economy, making it more competitive.

The deployment from Pakistan, the source said, will include four military brigades, two air force squadrons, and two naval fleets stationed in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Pakistan plans to establish advanced air defence and rocket force command in collaboration with Saudi Arabia. Pakistan will also supply military equipment, ammunition, mortars, tanks, and short-range missiles to Saudi Arabia.

Initially, Pakistan will deploy 25,000 soldiers across various Saudi military bases and cities. Each Pakistani soldier will earn a minimum of 6,000 Saudi Riyals or approximately 1,600 USD per month, which is 200 USD more than a UN peacekeeping soldier. A single Pakistani military brigade is composed of eight units, and each unit consists of 850 soldiers. The four brigades will include armoured, artillery, infantry, and rocket forces units.

For command operations in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan will appoint a three-star lieutenant general, two major generals, and eight brigadiers. Pakistani air force and naval officials will collaborate with their Saudi counterparts in joint operations, training, and exercises.

Saudi Arabia is interested in acquiring Chinese technology similar to Pakistan’s, prompting Riyadh to sign a defence deal with Islamabad to procure Chinese military equipment for parallel defence against any threats. Saudi Arabia is keen to purchase JF-17 Thunders from Pakistan and J-10Cs from China, and discussions with Beijing about 5th generation jets to counter any potential threats from Israel are anticipated.

In return, Saudi Arabia will invest 10 billion USD in Pakistan’s infrastructure, economic, mining, energy, and security sectors. This investment aims to protect Pakistan from future economic defaults and sanctions.

Moreover, Saudi Arabia will boost its bilateral trade with Pakistan from 5 billion USD to 15 billion USD annually across all sectors. Riyadh will also use its diplomatic channels to normalise Islamabad’s relations with the world, especially with New Delhi and Kabul, striving to maintain a balanced and healthy environment between India and Pakistan.

  • Shehbaz Sharif to hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during four-day trip, says source
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Saudi Arabia on Oct. 26, his office confirmed on Monday, while a source with direct knowledge of the trip confirmed the premier will attend the annual Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference in Riyadh and hold talks with the Saudi leadership.

The ninth edition of the FII is scheduled to be held from Oct. 27 to Oct. 30 in Riyadh. The unitive was launched in October 2017 by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund in conjunction with its Vision 2030 economic reform strategy.

The annual conference brings together global leaders, policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs and innovators to explore future investment opportunities, stimulate innovation and advance emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, green finance and to help shape the future of the global economy.

“Yes, the PM is visiting Saudi Arabia on Oct. 26,” the Prime Minister’s Office told Arab News when asked about Sharif’s visit to the Kingdom. It did not provide further details of the visit.

However, a source with direct knowledge of the prime minister’s visit confirmed that Sharif will attend the FII conference and hold bilateral talks with the Saudi leadership, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during the four-day trip to the Kingdom.

Sharif visited Saudi Arabia last month where he met the Saudi crown prince and signed a landmark strategic defense deal with the Kingdom. The pact stipulates that any act of aggression against one country will be considered an attack against both, underscoring their deep strategic partnership.

It encompasses a comprehensive framework for defense cooperation, including joint military training, intelligence sharing, collaborative exercises, and technology exchange, reflecting the growing trust and alignment between the two nations.

Saudi Arabia remains a key economic and strategic partner for Pakistan. In October last year, the two countries signed 34 agreements and memoranda of understanding worth $2.8 billion. The MoUs were aimed at boosting private sector collaboration and commercial partnerships between the brotherly nations.

Riyadh has also extended vital support to Pakistan in the past when the South Asian country grappled with economic crises, providing it crucial external financing and assistance necessary for the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) loan programs.

Saudi Arabia is also home for over 2.5 million Pakistani expatriates, serving as the largest source of foreign remittances for Islamabad. These remittances serve as a key lifeline for Islamabad’s fragile $350 billion economy.

We don't need Saudi to defend Pakistan

This agreement is about
Financial support during war
Oil/fuel supply during war
Diplomatic support during war
Collaboration and funding for weapons programmes

Pakistan has China, Turkey and Turkic world and Saudi as direct support now with multiple other nations as allies
